“went in for a prescription and advice on enhancing my previously done Laser Eye surgery, loved the doctor, she confirmed I'm a candidate for enhancement. In the meantime I was considering contact lenses incase Lasik MD wouldn't approve my ehancement. Put at $85 deposit on the contact lenses. I then successfully got quickly approved for lasik enhancement and now have 20/20 vision. I no longer need the contacts but they will not return my $85 and insist I must use it as a credit at their store...but I don't need glasses anymore. My only option is to spend multiple hundreds at their store on sunglasses....I will be pilling my entire family from this company.”Read moreShow less

“About a year ago I visited Metroptical for the first time, getting fitted for both contacts and glasses. Great experience, one stop shopping including my eye exam. J However, just recently my Ray Ban frames developed a split under one of the lens. I visited the shop, they ordered me a replacement frame and when it arrived a few weeks later they swapped out my lens, all at no charge. “I had a great experience with them during the pandemic. Last year, I went to them again. I informed them that my budget was around 200-300. The gentleman told me no problem we can get you set up for that price. I asked him to help me choose a frame within my price range. He picked a few to try on and I finally settled on one. When we were going to settle on the price he told me that it was going to cost me almost $1000. He proceeded to tell me it’s because the frame I picked was high end, super light… what irked me is that he was the one suggesting the frames for me to use so, he knew full well it was out of my price range. It was a waste of my time. Went to Costco and I was able to get frames and lenses within my price range. P.S. My benefit plan won’t accept my insurance claim from their in-house optometrist!”Read moreShow less

“We have been with Metroptical for over a decade and are happy with their great service. Eric and Orly take the time and care to ensure that our glasses are appropriate for our needs and properly fitted. My husband was thrilled with the new lenses in his old but favourite aviator sunglasses. For us, if anything needs adjusting or a minor repair, that's no problem - they're happy to do it as a favour. BTW, their in-house optometrist has been there for years, is highly skilled, and professional. There is no issue with acceptance for our benefit plan either.”Read moreShow less

“I have been seeing Eric and Orly for years now! They carry a wide selection of fashionable l frames that are durable and reasonably priced. The owners always greet their customers in a respectful and timely manner upon entering the store and they are very patient and knowledgeable when fielding the many questions that I may have. Most importantly, their customer service far exceeds my expectations every time. I had accidently twisted my frames from leaving them in my purse, without the case. I brought them to Eric one day after work. He repaired the minor damage, at no cost and was kind enough to give me a complimentary container for the frames as to prevent this from happening again! I have since moved from the area to Ajax, but I still drive into Scarborough to use their services. “I have never received such wonderful customer service. Eric went above and beyond to ensure I found the right pair of frames for myself. I am so happy with my glasses. “If you are looking for an excellent personalized experience look no further. I have never experienced this level of customer service while looking for my optical needs. Eric went above and beyond my optical experience from start to finish, exercised extreme patience while helping me choose the correct frame for me, and educated me thoroughly on lens care. I recommend that everyone should go here as the prices, service, and experience were amazing. They even have an eye doctor available in the same facility that does an amazing job as well. Eric and James are not only a great father and son team, but they are honest and very straightforward individuals.
