Worst front desk receptionist I have ever encountered. They never answer phone calls, so I had to physically go to the clinic just to book an appointment with my family doctor. I told the receptionist that I wanted to book an appointment with my family doctor and gave her his name. She immediately and confidently told me that this clinic did not have any doctor by that name. I was shocked, because I was absolutely certain that I had been seeing my family doctor at this clinic for years. Since other people were waiting to speak with her, I stepped aside and searched through my old emails. Eventually, I found previous appointment confirmation records from this clinic. When I returned to show her the records, she impatiently told me to wait. I then stood there for about three minutes while she kept her head down, seemingly copying things from ChatGPT on her phone onto the computer, apparently replying to emails. After making me wait, she casually said, “That doctor is no longer working here. You’ll have to find him online yourself.” What frustrated me most was that she never made any effort to look into my issue at all. In other words, from the very beginning she already knew that my family doctor had left the clinic. Instead of explaining the actual situation, she simply told me that the clinic “did not have” such a doctor. Only after I showed proof of my previous appointments did she finally clarify that the doctor used to work there but had since left. Those are two completely different situations. When I asked where my family doctor had moved to, she impatiently told me to search online myself, saying it was not the clinic’s responsibility to inform patients because the doctor “only practiced here” and that I had “no relationship with the clinic itself.” That made absolutely no sense to me. From the very beginning — intake forms, appointment bookings, all communication — I had always dealt directly with this clinic. How can they suddenly claim that patients have “no relationship” with the clinic? I genuinely do not understand how the owner of this clinic tolerates having such an unprofessional and dismissive receptionist working at the front desk. Is it because they want to hire someone cheaper than the average wage?

Dr Huang is amazing and caring with his patients. However, his receptionist is very unreliable. Although she is nice but you could hardly ever get through calls. She hardly answers phone calls. She doesn’t follow through the referrals Dr Huang had confirmed at appointment. She would missed Dr Huang’s request and when you follow up to remind her she would brush off with repeated excuse that Dr Huang didn’t get back to her, and simply doesn’t followed through she said she would. Followed up with her multiple times through out days to weeks still she does not get back to you. I’m not the only patient who feels this way, other patients of Dr Huang I know felt the same. Echo to OTL’s feedback. Really wish the receptionist could step up, otherwise really hope for Dr Huang to hire someone more reliable, responsible and accountable. She is hurting his reputation. This feedback based on her repeated behaviour over the years. Really hope Dr Huang look into this.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Emily for many years, and she’s always been amazing at managing my treatment and helping ease my pain. She’s not just professional and detail-oriented—she truly cares about how her patients feel. Her kindness and support have meant a lot to me over the years. No matter where she goes, I’ll definitely follow—she’s that good. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for compassionate, skilled care.

Please fire that family doc’s receptionist who never ever picks up a phone call and always mess up bookings. I don’t understand why she can have a job. That’s it. Happy to change my review if she is fired because Dr Huang is actually a very nice person.

Dr. Huang is a very nice and sincere doctor. My family and I are very lucky to have him. He makes sure his patients are well taking care of. Regarding the other reviews here about the phone yes it's challenging to reach the front desk sometimes because they don't have enough staff but the lady/receptionist looks like she's trying her best to accommodate and help everyone. The ladies at the clinic are very pleasant especially Dr. Huang's personal assistant. They always remind the patient to come in early to their appointments because one of the requirements of the clinic is to get patients blood pressure etc. I believed in other clinics worse if you compare it to Dr. Huang's office- like my previous doctor, not friendly receptionist and hard to reach all the time (annoying). Dr. Huang's office is NOT too bad to be honest. Let's be mindful that they are human like us too and we need to respect their rules at the clinic. Too bad they are not accepting new patients anymore.

I’ve been living in Metro Vancouver since 2007. Dr. Huang is the best doctor I’ve ever met. He is knowledgeable, kind, and cares about his patients. An accident happened to me recently, and it made me worry about my health. My family and colleague kept saying that I was overthinking and there was nothing to worried about. I understand they were being nice, but it wasn’t helpful. Dr. Huang took the time to explain everything and did some tests. Now I’m waiting for the results -- finger crossed! I truly appreciate Dr. Huang and his team. I feel so lucky to have Dr. Huang as our family doctor.

I’ve had a good experience with Dr. Huang where when my appointment is booked, I actually see him shortly after. I’m able to ask a few questions for him to diagnose and I never feel rushed. I’ve been in Vancouver for over 20 years now and have always had a family doctor but anytime I would see my old one, there would always be a 30-60 minute wait after my appointment time and I could only ask one question then was rushed out in 5 minutes. Yes, I agree it is hard to reach reception sometimes but it’s probably because he’s a good doctor and people really want to see him.

Very good service! Dr. Kyle Huang is very caring and nice. Staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly Honey is so kind and cheerful! I am lucky to be accepted as a patient here. Highly appreciated and recommended.

The front desk phone is always unreachable. To make an appointment with the family doctor, I had to call continuously for two days just to get through. The front desk staff has a very arrogant attitude. The family doctor’s working hours are very limited, only four days a week, and they take frequent vacations. There is only one doctor in the entire clinic. Every time I arrive early for my appointment, but when the scheduled time comes, the front desk informs me that I still need to wait. They scheduled my appointment 15 minutes earlier than the actual time to prevent delays in the doctor’s schedule in case patients arrive late, but they never informed me that the appointment time was meant as an early arrival time. I think most people would arrive a bit early for their appointments, right? Does that mean the patient’s time isn’t valuable and can be wasted at will? The experience is very disappointing.

Very nice new physio and health clinic, everyone there is super friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and professional. The physiotherapy has been super helpful with my problems. Also cute Christmas decorations.
