“I had a great visit at Mercato Mall All the staff are so helpful and friendly . The dental Hygenist was so excellent and handled my cleaning with accuracy and efficiency . Dr Tan had to remove an old filling that broke on me at home and redid a very nice new composite . for me . “I had a great experience with Dr. Chang. I came in with a chipped tooth expecting a simple consultation but Dr. Chang took the time to explain several different options to repair it each with clear pros and cons. I was honestly surprised by how many solutions were available. What impressed me even more was that she was able to do a temporary fix right away while I take some time to decide on the best long-term option. I walked out with a great-looking temporary tooth and a much better understanding of the process. Very professional, knowledgeable, and patient. I never felt rushed or pressured. “I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Mercato Dental Centre. I originally came in because I had an old filling on my front tooth that was slightly discoloured. My tooth was otherwise completely healthy and pain-free. I asked if the filling could be replaced with a lighter/whiter filling for cosmetic reasons and whether there would be any risks or issues with doing so, and I was told it would be no problem. During the procedure, the assistant repeatedly shoved the suction tool against my throat, making me extremely uncomfortable. I asked multiple times for it to be moved because it was hurting me, but it kept happening. Keep in mind that after my very first appointment, the numbing did not wear off properly for almost two days. My upper lip and nose were hurting during that time, which was extremely concerning. After the filling was done, it immediately felt rough and uneven. I could feel my bottom teeth constantly hitting the filling, which caused even more pain and sensitivity. From the front of the tooth, the filling also felt extremely rough rough enough that I could literally catch it with my nail. I mentioned this multiple times to the dentist who performed the procedure, but the issue was never properly fixed. I eventually booked an appointment at the same clinic with a different dentist, and even he acknowledged that there were issues with the filling not smoothed and adjusted it further. Despite this, I was still charged for appointments that were needed because the original work was not completed properly in the first place. What is most upsetting is that ever since this filling was done, I have been dealing with constant pain and severe sensitivity for over a month. Before this procedure, I had no pain at all. Now I am being told there may be nerve damage and that I may need a root canal because of the work that was done which I also have to pay for myself. Keep in mind, I am only 22 years old and now have to deal with ongoing tooth pain, possible nerve damage, and a root canal on a tooth that was originally healthy and pain-free. This has been one of the worst dental experiences I have ever had. I regret trusting this clinic with my tooth, and I am now left dealing with ongoing pain, stress, and expensive treatment that I never needed before.”Read moreShow less
