I've done years of talk therapy, life coaching, hypnotherapy, yoga retreats, martial arts, meditation, and diets all to name the 'thing' that gets in the way of living now. I was flinchy about doing talk therapy again after a previous bad experience, but I knew I needed help. I was tired of standing in my own way. In the past, with talk therapy especially, I didn't feel like I experience the kind of change or guidance I was hoping for. It definitely didn't have the right "magic". EMDR had been popping up in conversations and it felt really aligned once I read about the process. EMDR sessions with Sally-Anne has helped me to feel seen, validated, liberated and more like myself than I have in a really long time. I can access painful or turbulent parts of my life now and not feel like they're still trying to run the show. I especially love that the sessions don't rely on the retelling of the event...talk therapy seemed to limit my progress. EMDR has helped me to feel trust in my body, helped me to create/reestablish boundaries with friends and family, acceptance, and show kindness to myself. My relationships, conversations, my workouts, and my work have all felt better and better since starting my sessions with Sally-Anne. I highly recommend this investment into yourself! Thank you Sally-Anne!

My experience with therapy and EMDR with Tammy has been nothing short of miraculous considering where we began. She has guided and supported me through the toughest time in my life. She is priceless and I am beyond grateful to have found her!

I've been seeing Tammy Humeny for the past little while to deal with several issues I felt I was facing alone. Tammy took me in and with her guidance, compassion and complete understanding of my situation her sessions have been nothing short of outstanding when it comes to my mental health. She is very at ease and has an extensive collection of tools in her toolbox to assist with whatever issues you may be dealing with. Trust is never easy to give especially when you meet someone whom you never met before. I found it very easy to talk with her openly right from the get go and did not shy away from my own truths which is a key component of getting the help you need to overcome whatever it is you may be dealing with. Everyone's life and situation can be very different along with some common challenges. If you trust the process, trust the person you open yourself up to and your life struggles like I have with Tammy, you will attain the necessary tools to better handle what challenges come your way. Never once have I felt uncomfortable about sharing my feelings, anxieties or what I am going through about anything with Tammy, that speaks to her patience, kindness and the ability to make you feel comfortable when you feel most vulnerable. I can't say thank you enough to her for all her help, understanding and guidance through this process of complete

I have been working with Sally-Anne for a few years now, and I can honestly say the work we’ve done together has been so impactful! She is an exceptionally skilled EMDR therapist and fantastic at what she does. One of the things I appreciate most about working with her is how clearly she explains the science behind what she does — she always keeps you informed about what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how it supports healing. Despite her depth of experience, Sally-Anne is incredibly humble, relatable, and easy to talk to. She brings a calm, easy-going presence while also being honest, insightful, and deeply uplifting. She has a remarkable ability to help you see yourself more fully — to understand how your experiences have shaped you, and to recognize that you truly did the best you could with what you were facing at the time. Her approach feels compassionate, grounding, and empowering. I can wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for thoughtful, trauma-informed, and genuinely human centered therapy.

Sally-Anne Haug at Mental Blocks EMDR Therapy provided a truly life-changing experience. I loved that the therapy was focused and effective—just six months felt complete, and I’ve seen incredible results. My anxiety has decreased, I feel calmer and more focused, and my nervous system feels balanced. I’m a better parent and overall feel so much more at peace. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for meaningful, results-driven therapy.

Mental health is a odd thing to write a review for, as so many want to keep their therapy on the down-low. I have always been pretty open about getting counseling, so here I am! Sally-Anne Haug has been a part of my journey now for the last three years, and it has been a good trip. She has the qualities that I have found that I like in a counselor: straightforwardness, honesty, and compassion. I have worked with her both online and in-person, and both are valuable. EMDR is a technique that has been quite useful to root out deep-seated mindsets. I am a long-time skeptic of these kinds of tools, but I have felt measurable changes in myself after an EMDR session.

EMDR Therapy takes time, patience, and dredges up LOTS of emotion if you're not ready, and Sally-Anne brings it all together in a way that feels like a hot cup of coffee on a rainy day. She exudes as much expertise in her knowledge of EMDR and mental health as a whole as she does warmth and empathy for her clients. She gives excellent feedback, and really challenges you in a way without pressure where you can go at your own pace. I can safely say that Sally-Anne is a fantastic therapist for EMDR Therapy.

I recently completed EMDR consultation with Sally-Anne Haug, Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant-in-Training, and it was one of the most supportive professional experiences I’ve had. Her ability to combine clinical expertise with compassion and clarity helped me feel more confident using EMDR with my own clients. Each consultation was thoughtful, organized, and rich with insight. Sally-Anne creates a safe, collaborative space where learning feels encouraging rather than intimidating. If you’re a therapist looking for EMDR consultation in Vancouver, or whether you’re working toward certification or simply want to deepen your practice, I cannot recommend Sally-Anne and Mental Blocks EMDR Therapy enough. She’s knowledgeable, grounded, and genuinely invested in helping other therapists grow.
