“I’ve been a member since the inception of Medpoint. It continues to be well worth the membership fee. The access to excellent doctors and such a wonderful staff! No one truly looks forward to spending 5 hours of medical exams but I have to say my experiences always make it fly by. I had a 36 minute echocardiogram with a lovely young lady Shelby which is typically very uncomfortable and LONG but she made sure I was comfortable the entire time and it flew by. This is top notch health care service and it’s always a pleasure dealing with them. When my father got sick they were on top of everything very quickly and directed him to the proper facilities that added years to his life and we are forever thankful for that.”

“I had a minor skin procedure done to the corner of my mouth and returned one week later to get the stitches removed. I was told that because the mouth opens and closes, procedures done in this area could take quite some time to heal. However, after two months it still hadn't healed. I became concerned and through magnification, discovered the tip of a blue plastic stitch. A little poking with a sterilized needle revealed an entire stitch. A google search confirmed that leaving a stitch in too long can leave skin marks and sometimes causes scarring. I made an appointment for the next business day, and after a three hour wait, had the stitch removed. Not one staff member apologized or displayed the slightest compassion for my predicament. When I realized that I was going to be left with a scar, I returned to inquire about scar revision treatment. Dr. Hasegawa apologized, but said there was nothing that could be done, and that leaving a stitch in, was a common occurrence. No one wants to be left with a scar on their face. Where is the accountability? Shouldn't my medical record state that I had two stitches to the corner of my mouth, so that when the nurse goes to remove the stitches, she can refer to my file and ensure that both stitches are removed? I write this as a cautionary tale ... if you have stitches put in at Medpoint, you have to be vigilant and ensure that every stitch is removed, or you may end up like me with a permanent scar.”

“I have never left a review for a Dr before. I think I’ll start today. Dr Tugalev was fantastic. He was extremely patient and caring. He understood what I was going through and was extremely empathetic. He went as far as finding me options and educating me on government funded care since I had no insurance, he also sent me detailed emails on next steps and went over and beyond by giving me more information. I am very happy I was referred to Dr Tugalev and extremely grateful for his great service. Today was a good day.”

“Med Point Byron is awesome. Our family doctor is very hard to get in to see - they keep asking us to come in to their after hour clinic that sometimes are two or three days later. When the kids are sick I cannot wait 3 days to see our family doctor and Med Point has always been accommodating by getting us in the same day. They have dedicated paediatricians as well. With the lab on site they can diagnose things quickly and get the kids on the mend. I wish family doctors were so accessible.”
