“I have gone to Dr. Matheson’s office for over a decade. The office is very colourful and welcoming, thanks to LeeAnne’s artistic decorating skills. Dr. Mathewson is always punctual. The thing I find the most helpful is that he tells me what he is finding and always explains what he is doing. Sends me home with exercises and stretches. “My husband and I have been going to Matheson Chiropractic Centre and prior to that Albert Street Chiro since the 1980’s. Recently, my sacroiliac joint locked up on me and I could not walk without assistance, as I was in excruciating pain. I have never experienced pain like this. My husband had to lift me in and out of the car, as I couldn’t put any weight in my left side. I called Matheson Chiro Centre and Leanne had me in the same day. After 1 and 1/2 weeks of treatment, I was able to walk, dress myself etc without assistance and almost back to my usual routine. I can’t say enough about the dedication and commitment of both Leanne and Kevin to their patients. Their caring and compassionate attitude is so amazing. “I have had a fear about chiropractors for most of my life and was convinced I would never seek one out to work on my back. I have struggled with increasing back, hip and buttock pain and sciatica pain for a number of years and tried many things like massage, yoga, active release, exercise, anti-inflammatories and pain medication to reduce the pain. Those things helped but did not get at the source of the problem. The last 6 months have brought increased pain which has impacted my life significantly - it became impossible to get a full night's sleep and daily activities were reduced because the pain was present on a constant basis. My husband has been suggesting that I go see Dr. Matheson for help with my concerns. I resisted for a long time because of my fear however, I was becoming desperate for relief. My first appointment was last week. I was very anxious about it but Dr. Matheson was so patient and explained every little step of what he was going to do. He stated that it was up to me how I wished the treatment to progress...a little at a time was perfectly fine so that my comfort level would increase. Prior to any gentle manipulation he explained fully what was going to happen and what to expect. Because he understood my fear he provided what I needed to hear in order to take further steps. It alleviated my anxiety and I was able to relax and proceed with the treatment. Subsequently the issues causing my back, hip and sciatica pain are greatly improved.
