“Just had my first 30 minute session with Michael. After years of working a physically demanding factory position I’ve recently started experiencing some chronic back ‘hot spots’ I call them. I tried traditional massage hoping for relief and left underwhelmed. On the phone his partner Shauna had made a comment about the session being likened to a torture chamber with a shaman. That’s exactly how I would describe it having left. This is not a luxurious frilly massage. He dove in with experience, confidence and was rather ruthless in his approach (not without consent). The pain I experienced on this path was extremely jarring. I groaned, swore, apologized, at one point when he expertly clicked something into place I actually started laughing. It was torture. Consensual, first steps of healing, back manipulating agony. And each squeeze, press, roll back into place collapsed me into gratitude. It takes a special kind of practitioner to guide someone through that process. I don’t want to recommend him, because his books are already filling up and I want to make sure there are appointments available for me. But I do, highly recommend. I left smiling, mascara running, feeling like a warrior in need of a salt bath and a gallon of water. 10/10, Thank you.”Read moreShow less
