Heaven on earth. I keep coming back! Incredible retreats at a reasonable price. Reccomend the catered stay.

Had a wonderful 3 night stay ! I had the all inclusive food package . The food was incredible and it was all Organic. Plenty of salad, fruit, vegetables. The suite was very modern and very spacious. equipped with everything to cook and a full-size fridge and a dishwasher. Mark picked me up a grass fed steak and it was out of this world super tender!! I was travelling solo from Vancouver, I flew to Comox and then was picked up by a shuttle, and there is a ferry that takes you to Denman Island. While I was there I was able to have a professional massage that was amazing. Each unit has their own private, hot tub, and a cold plunge if you desire. The beach is an easy walk on a nice path. Very beautiful area.! I was fortunate enough to also have a private boat cruise. That was amazing and we went to sand Island where I couldn’t leave how clear the water is and how big the shells are.! On way way home to the ferry Mark was able to take me to the organic bakery, and I grabbed a cinnamon bun and a sourdough loaf of bread to bring home. Fabulous getaway and highly recommended!!!

What a great spot this is. Nice clean large room with kitchen overlooking the ocean. In a private backyard, they have a two person hot tub as well as a cold plunge. Denman Island is very quiet with not much to do so it’s nice to have a little retreat like this. If you’re looking for a few days of relaxation, I would recommend this spot.

I stayed at Mannahouse from July 2-7 2025. I had a 5 day detox/wellness package. Pros: Mark was attentive if I needed any items for the meals or to answer any questions I had. The private beach was very nice. The Island has all kinds of wild life, which was amazing. The private hot tub right outside my suite door. The beach front sauna with an amazing view. The suite had everything I needed. Cons: I stayed in the Sunrise suite. The mattress was very uncomfortable as it was only about 5-6 inches thick. I did not realize (nor does the site say) there is another suite up above the Sunrise. It got very noisy. The noise went on until 11 pm at night. The beach is completely shale rock. There was a small area where I was able to sit or lay in the sun. Although I knew the food part of the program was self led, I did not realize the filling of the cold tub( beating off large bamboo shoots to get to the tap), lighting the beach front fire for the sauna and starting the infrared sauna as well. This took over 40 minutes to heat up. I was not told ahead of time I would be responsible for starting all these tasks. Mark did light the beach sauna after he saw my shocked face when he asked if he had sent me the instructions for lighting the sauna. There was a kafuffle surrounding the booking of the saunas. My request was not seen by the person who attends to this task. I mentioned this to Mark several times as I was alarmed when I did not see my reservation on the calendar. Finally when there seemed to be other people staying at the Mannahouse and they were filling up the calendar for the saunas, I again went to Mark. At the end of the day I was asked to change what I had originally booked. I said no to most changes ( but did try to accommodate graciously). Good thing I did, as I was also told by Mark when I booked the earlier reservations, I would be lighting and starting the saunas to warm up for the much younger (other) guests. I am recently retired and researched and saved for this trip. People need to know all the rules ahead of time so they can decide if this is the place they want to stay. The last red flag would be I was expected to pay in full (except for the extra services) before I arrived. Although I made the best of the situation, I would not go again. Some of the issues I had may not bother others ( the beach, saunas and uncomfortable bed, but at least you will know ahead of time and make your decision from there. Update: Response to Mark. At the end of the day, this is MY experience/review. This cannot be challenged. People will see this after reading your response.

I did a 4 day detox retreat by myself. It was great! Healthy smoothies and salads that I prepared myself with provided organic fruits and veggies. Kind and prompt service from Mark and Devan. Clean room, hot tub, sauna and cold plunge tub. Can easily walk to the cross Denman trail or down to the beach. Beautiful, friendly cat to greet me outside (he is not allowed in the rooms). My own fire pit to sit by. I will do this again 100%

Our experience at Manna House on Denman Island was beyond amazing and left us with memories to cherish. The ocean-view sauna is truly one of a kind – relaxing in its warmth while gazing out over the serene waters felt like pure magic. The private hot tub, available 24/7, was a standout feature, and the addition of sensual oils and the refreshing cold plunge elevated the experience to pure luxury. It was the perfect blend of relaxation and rejuvenation. The owner was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay. From the thoughtful touches to their warm hospitality, everything about their service was impeccable. The meditation instructor and massage therapist were also phenomenal – their professionalism and expertise helped my mom release all her stress and truly unwind. Manna House offers so much more than just a getaway – it’s an oasis of tranquility and self-care. If you’re looking for a unique, peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, this is the place to go. Highly recommend to anyone seeking relaxation and luxury on Denman Island!

I recently had the most rejuvenating experience at Manna House. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the owner who showed me my suite and how to use the hot tub, cold plunge, and other amenities. The location itself is stunning — nestled in nature, with breathtaking views that immediately set the tone for relaxation. You must explore the walkway to the beach and ocean-front sauna that takes you through a magical path of beautiful wood pieces and thoughtfully placed rocks recovered from the ocean. The attention to detail in and out of the suite makes you feel that the place is tailored just for you. The owner was incredibly attentive, ensuring that every detail of my stay was perfect. The spa treatments were exactly what I needed; I felt like I was fully relaxed using the infrared sauna, oceanfront wood-burning sauna, plus my private hot tub and cold plunge. Overlooking the lush landscape, the serene meditation gardens, and the beautifully designed rooms all contributed to a sense of total escape. The healthy gourmet meals were another highlight, with each meal being a delightful experience that nourished both body and soul. Selecting the chef-made food is an add-on that's worth including! What truly sets Manna House apart is the sense of holistic wellness that permeates every aspect of the retreat. Whether you're indulging in a private spa treatment, enjoying the shared amenities on the privately-owned beach, or simply unwinding in the peaceful surroundings, you feel completely cared for and restored. This spa retreat is a sanctuary of peace, and I left feeling completely revitalized, both physically and mentally. I can't recommend it highly enough—if you're looking for a place to recharge and renew, Manna House is the ultimate destination. I'll definitely be returning as soon as I can!

A beautiful and peaceful retreat run by lovely people! We stayed in the Sunrise suite and thoroughly enjoyed all the details and features especially the private garden with the hot tub and cold plunge. Renting the beach front sauna was also a real highlight. We were impressed by all that this little place had to offer and would not hesitate to recommend!

A Serene Haven of Coziness and Luxury Review: I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mana House, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. This hidden gem nestled in a beautiful location offered an unforgettable experience with its cozy and well-appointed rooms. Upon arrival, I was immediately captivated by the resort's charm. The rooms exuded an inviting and homely ambiance. The highlight, however, was the Japanese hot tub in each room. The soothing hot water and tranquil atmosphere provided a perfect retreat after a day of exploration. But that was not all. Mana House had even more to offer. The wooden sauna located right on the beach was a true delight. The scent of the sea mingling with the aromatic wood created an incredible sensory experience. And for those seeking an alternative, the infra-red sauna provided a rejuvenating and detoxifying session. The resort's attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction truly stood out. The owner and staff were incredibly hospitable, always going above and beyond to ensure every need was met. Their warmth and genuine care added an extra layer of comfort to the already cozy surroundings. The range of activities provided at Mana House was impressive. From mountain bikes to kayaks and boats, there was no shortage of ways to explore the picturesque surroundings. And when the sun began to set, gathering around the fire pits to roast BBQ under a clear, star-filled sky was an experience I won't soon forget. The fresh air and peacefulness of the surroundings were truly rejuvenating. One aspect that pleasantly surprised me was the affordability of the resort. Given the exceptional service, beautiful location, and the abundance of amenities, the prices were more than fair. Mana House offers a luxurious escape without breaking the bank. In conclusion, my stay at Mana House was a perfect blend of comfort, natural beauty, and exceptional service. The beautiful and cozy rooms, the wooden sauna on the beach, the Japanese hot tubs, and the abundance of activities made for an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a serene haven to unwind and reconnect with nature, I wholeheartedly recommend Mana House.
