“Wow, where do I start? When I first walked into the office, there was a strong, unpleasant odor—something like smelly feet—which made for a very off-putting. My therapist was also late to the appointment, which didn’t help set the right tone. I clearly explained where I was feeling pain and confirmed that I wanted a full-body massage. Unfortunately, the therapist kept stepping away—presumably to get something from a cabinet, though I couldn’t see clearly since I was face down in a dimly lit room. These frequent interruptions disrupted the flow and relaxation of the massage. More importantly, the area I mentioned as painful was never actually addressed, which was disappointing. It also felt like the therapist may have been wearing gloves, which created a strange sensation. I’m confident I was clean and freshly showered, so I’m not sure why that would have been necessary. To top it off, the session ended without the usual front-body work, which left the massage feeling incomplete. All in all, the experience felt more like a rushed, expensive rubdown than a therapeutic massage. That said, I understand that every therapist has a different style, and perhaps this one simply wasn't the right fit for me.
