“Don’t go here if you’re Anglophone or if you want a good experience overall. They don’t care about punctuality, confidentiality, or customer service. I entered the shop in and the moment one of the staff heard me speak English, he stopped talking and just handed me a form, in French. Literally didn’t even say hello or welcome in either language. Also, I had to wait a long time. My scheduled appointment was about 20-25 minutes late. At one point, I heard the optometrist rudely said to a member of staff, “why are you speaking English to me?” when he had been helping a customer in English and then forgot to switch back when he addressed the optometrist. It was so awkward. Also, the optometrist made a judgemental comment about my use of contact lenses right in front of another customer and a member of staff. Confidentiality and care are obviously not important at this place. She could have spoken to me privately about any concerns she had. Finally, when I was paying for my eye exam, the staff member helping me was fully engaged in a conversation with another member of staff. He barely looked at me as I handed over almost $200 for a glasses and contacts exam. Overall, this place is bad. I know they might respond with “well, we’re required to serve people in French by law, and this is Quebec, etc.” Fair enough. For health services though, it’s critical for people to speak in the language that is most comfortable for them. Additionally, I DO speak French. I just feel more at ease when speaking about medical topics in my native tongue, as I am from another province originally. To the other points, there’s no excuse for poor customer service, rude optometrists, or a lack of punctuality or confidentiality. Go elsewhere for you eye exam.”Read moreShow less

“Was shopping around for a good frame and found a gem here. They have a quality selection at good prices and offer excellent service. I went in to adjust my glasses following a sport incident. “Went to have my daughter's first eye exam there and it was nothing short of amazing. From the friendly staff, to the welcoming atmosphere, everything is spot on for a good experience. Thanks to the young man that was patient with my daughter for the pre-exam. Optometrist was really kind. Also to the young man that repaired the nose pads on my glasses, that was super appreciated.
