Bleeding severely for weeks with no relief. Was treated like a bother. Treated a spider bite triaged after me….. before even checking my blood levels. Left after 8 hours after being ignored and avoided by all staff. Triage nurse was fine, the rest useless. If you want medical care go anywhere else

A huge thank-you to the caring staff member (charge nurse?) who called me back today to offer a shoulder immobilizer for my mother. I'm so grateful for your care and kindness ❤️

Just had an x-ray for an injured foot. The x-ray tech was so gentle. Really appreciate caregivers like Marsha. Shout out to her for great patient care!!

Unfortunately I had to go to ER on Saturday afternoon. Was seen within an hour, but to be honest it wasn’t very busy…or so I thought. The beds were full, children were crying, screaming and coughing. It was nuts to say the least. Nurses were trying to keep up but still had a smile on their faces. The PSW that was in the waiting room checking vitals was so kind to me. Kept asking how I was doing and was my pain tolerable. And then I saw Dr Matt Martin. That man was one in a million. His personality and knowledge was outstanding. My husband was also impressed (which is quite a feat lol). After lots of tests and consulting with a Specialist, he made an appointment for me to see a Specialist at HDH on Sunday. I am scheduled for a biopsy tomorrow which will determine the exact diagnosis and we shall go from there. What a great hospital we have here in Napanee, we are very lucky. I also know not everyone has a good experience but I wanted to share my experience and acknowledge the exemplary work of our hospital. Thank you Dr Martin and Staff ,

March 25/26 After a pretty long wait in ER (total of 7 hours) we got to see Dr. Rebecca (last name not know). Dr. Rebecca was fantastic, she asked all the right questions and end result was success full in diagnosing my problem. Thanks, Rebecca Gary

I was scheduled for a day surgery procedure 03 Feb. I had not received a call from them to let me know what time to show up, so called the day before. That's when I found out my procedure had been postponed to the next week. I got the call a couple of days later to confirm the time for the new date. This was a procedure that I was being put under for, so required a driver. I am single, live alone. So finding a driver is a task. Got my driver changed and set up for the time on the new date of 10 Feb. The day before, on the 9th, they call again, to move my timing again. I said no, I had my driver already set for the time. The lady said okay. Then, called back, meanwhile, I'm driving in my car while both phine calls occur. She then said my NEW timing WILL be 1/2 hour before the set timing. I had to scramble to coordinate my driver. Day of. I get there 15 minutes prior to my timing. Just to wait over an hour PAST my original time! I wasn't the one complaining about the wait, it was the other 2 patients. I will complain about how many times my procedure time was changed, just to wait even longer. THEN the lady called to book my post op appointment. She was so completely rude, and was obviously annoyed when I said I had to check my calendar to make sure I didn't have another appointment at that time on that day in April For a phone consult only. If I do get another in person appointment booked before then, I will be canceling. And hopefully not get the same rude lady I've dealt with a couple of times since last year. And the fact they left us laying for hours with no updates, until an older lady complained. And left us all with nobody for at least an hour. I scratched a acab of a previous cut, was bleeding and nobody around to help. When someone did show up, only brought me a small piece of gauze, did not help clean the blood or help stop the bleeding. My mom was a nurse. She NEVER would have treated patients the way we were that day. Let alone spoken to anyone the way the lady did who called me to book the follow up.

So we choose Napanee to avoid the main cities and their ridiculous waits and overflow of people….man were we wrong, arrived with only one other in the triage and still sat for 1hr and 42mins, then once we get into the curtains we sit for another hour before any basic blood work was drawn. If that wasn’t enough the nurse who came in to do the BW almost dropped some supplies(IV connectors and kit) and I made a comment that we don’t wanna waste anything. The nurse snapped back and made the remark “it’s the government that pays for that, so I don’t really care”, well I simply said in reply, “just so you are aware we are the government”. The nurse just glared and jabbed the wife and carried on. I hate to complain however with today’s inflated costs of living, rising taxes we all pay(which this is an example of why) and the wages someone like this receives from our “government” is just a great example of undereducated and ignorant staff looking to collect $ and except no accountability. SHAME ON YOU!

Having been admitted for a total of 91 days, in 2021- 2022 (in respect to 3 different times, 2x 6 weeks , and the first time, one week...all due to a heart infection), and repeatedly hearing not-so-wonderful things about what I could expect, beginning at emerg. reception, and nursing/doctor care and the attitudes that the majority of the staff would exhibit when dealing with people similar to myself. (I am an addict...). I put myself at further risk, doing more, unnecessary damage, because I didn't want to receive the discriminatory treatment I was told of. HOWEVER... I was EXTREMELY, AMAZINGLY and GRATEFULLY surprised, and have made it a priority to this day to share all I can about my wonderful, understanding, empathetic, patient, and open-minded care that I received from every single person who was involved with me... From Doctors and Nurses, to Dietician & Cooks, and Janitorial Staff and Volunteers. EVERYONE!! Thank you ALL so much and I think about many of my care team often... You're the BEST!!!!!

I recently visited Lennox & Addington County General Hospital due to severe pain, which I later found out was caused by a kidney stone stuck in my ureter. The hospital was not busy at all, so everything moved very quickly, which was amazing. The triage nurse was exceptional, and all the other nurses in the ER were incredibly helpful, friendly, and genuinely caring. Dr. Andrei Garcia Popov was very knowledgeable and took the time to help me understand what I was going through. I was able to get a private room with blankets, which was greatly appreciated, as it allowed me to rest and sleep while waiting for my results. I highly recommend this hospital and feel very fortunate to live nearby. Thank you to all the nurses, clerical staff, and doctors for providing such excellent care!
