“If someone had told me five years ago that my chronic back pain or numb right leg was not permanent damage, and then said it could be reversed after one visit with Marcia Kirby I'd have laughed and bet $500 they were dead wrong. Nonetheless, Marcia's skill with the technique called IMS (inter muscle stimulation) does in fact work miracles. When a joint gets injured (or traumatized by surgery,) our body surrounds it with a long-term ridged muscle spasm to hold everything in place so no further damage occurs. However, once the original injury is healed that same protective spasm often remains. Incapable of realeasing itself the spasm intensifies the pain and we assume this means the original injury didn't heal properly. IMS sticks an accupunture needle into the middle of the chronic spasm and causes it to rapidly contract & release multiple times per second, (which sometimes hurts during the treatment and we try not to curse Marcia out loud, haha.) When she's done, that super-tight muscle becomes a bowl of Jello and our long-term suffering is simply gone. BOOM! GONE! Thank you Marcia, Thank You.”Read moreShow less

He has so much knowledge and is constantly working on his own practice to refine his skills and offer the best rehab methods. I developed MS in that time and have come to rely on Moraine as a valuable member of the medical "team" that keeps me mobile. She has provided massage, stretching, exercises, recommendations for height and style of mobility aids, and most importantly gentle encouragement and support. “Marcia's assessment and IMS treatments helped me get back to my heavy lifting in CrossFit. My elbow, shoulder, forearm, neck and back pain subsided after only one treatment. Follow up advice for maintenance and prevention helped keep my fitness goals on track. “Both my son and I go to Marcus and he is by far the best massage therapist we have ever gone to. Marcus is exceptionally knowledgeable and is such an easy guy to talk with. He has a way of explaining things in such a manner that you truly feel informed. Marcus is highly efficient and gets down to business quickly. He pin points the troubled areas immediately and does such a great job breaking down the pain.
