“Lee's Physiotherapy is a clean clinic with nice staff. I have been seeing Tony Hui regarding some pain. He is very knowledgeable and patient. He listens to my concerns and comes up with different exercises to aid in my recovery and it has been helping a lot. “I came with my mother to try physio. As she was looking for a Cantonese speaking therapist. Plus Lee’s was close by, so we gave it a try. We gave Hennie two chances. Hennie has basic knowledge, things I already know. Her diagnoses was ok. But her treatment plan for my mom I thought it was too long before she got into actual strengthening exercises. They gave her basic stretches that she already had no problem doing. Her second appointment went exactly as the first. Same assessment saying the exact same things. They wanted her to come twice a week for the first 3 weeks, then decreasing to once a week once strength training begins… just because we have insurance coverage doesn’t mean we should abuse it. Lee’s physio uses more old-school approach. Newer facilities and other physiotherapist no longer use machines excessively anymore. The facility in itself is very old. The rooms are separated with curtains. I felt extremely uncomfortable knowing just behind the curtain was two men, while my mom wasn’t wearing anything but a hospital gown. It’s also VERY cold in there. I think if you’re going to have patients strip down, it makes sense to keep some heat on? The heat pack that was provided was very temporary and very small. What really resulted in such a low rating is that Dr. Hennie provided acupuncture to my mother. But she left a needle in her thigh. My mom sat up and she had blood on her leg. They continued to charge us the extra $20 for acupuncture. There wasn’t any remorse and they tried to play it off cool. I wasn’t too happy about the approach to this. I get there’s a lack of accessible Cantonese speaking therapists, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here. There are much better places with more up—to-date knowledge and approaches. ___________________ Update: The owner, Wendy, has reached out to understand my concerns. She said she will refund the $20 for the acupuncture.”Read moreShow less

“I went to see Tony Hui at Lee’s Physiotherapy for my injured elbow and knee. He took time to assess my injuries and give me advice on what exercise i can do to improve my mobility. I noticed a big improvement after few sessions and is now around 80% to fully recover. I recommend Tony for anyone looking for a physiotherapist who is knowledgeable and caring.”Read moreShow less

“Tony is incredible. Unlike many practitioners that I have seen, Tony has a holistic approach to recovery that includes a full body and alignment assessment, rather than zeroing in on a small function. His approach to my rehabilitation has helped to heal not only a new injury, but also a chronic 2 year old injury. Not to mention correcting movement patterns that I’ve been unable to fix on my own for years. He’s truly passionate about his work and helping people, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to be treated by Tony.”Read moreShow less

“My physiotherapist Tony Hui at Lee's is very professional. He gave me excellent treatment with ultrasound, electrotherapy, and warm packs for my lower back and neck. He also taught me some home stretching exercises that are helping to ease my pain. :)”
