“I had my surgery on Friday in April at the LASIK in Brossard, and from my appointments to the actually surgery, the staffs have all been incredibly helpful and sweet! I was really nervous about the procedure because (well, it’s surgery on your eyeballs, no shit it’s scary), but they gave me all the info I needed and reassured me about everything (how the procedures are gonna go, how the healing process will be like, what to do so that your eyes get better, etc). And now it’s been roughly two weeks, and my eyes already feel better (and I can actually see without any problems (again, no shit, that’s the whole point)). The surgery itself was also quick and surprisingly chill (it’s 100% scary at first, I won’t lie, but if you shut up and do what the surgeons and staffs say (aka the people who knows what they’re doing), you’ll be literally fine, and the surgery itself doesn’t hurt (uncomfortable, maybe, but truly not painful at all)). My one advice as to not cause any problems to both yourself and the staff (aka don’t be stupid like me), is that if someone advises you to do something, LISTEN TO THEM. My issue was that during my first appointment, they gave me eyedrops so that my eyes (which they said were pretty dry) can just, well not be dry. And instead of actually being smart and listening to their advice, I took it as a “suggestion,” and then proceed to put them a grand total of 2 times (keep in mind I had a month to do them). And on the day of my surgery, when they checked my eyes again to see if it we were good to go, we had a high chance of having to cancel because it’s not safe to operate on dry eyes, so it left me with the choice to either schedule another appointment on another day, or operate only on one eye (from what I’ve been told, a VERY bad idea cause you’re gonna be stuck with one good eye and one bad eye (specially in my case because I was roughly -8 on both eyes) until your next surgery). Luckily my eyes were considered safe to operate on, but to avoid that needless stress, PUT YOUR EYEDROPS AND LISTEN TO THE STAFFS (they work there for a reason). “From start to finish, I felt at ease and so comfortable. Everyone in there was so nice and friendly. I didn’t get the relaxant but the surgeon and his assistants were so nice and he talked me through the whole thing. They gave me stress balls (which helped) during the procedure. After he told me that I could open my eyes and sit up and I saw better already, I was so overwhelmed that I cried lol tears of joy, of course. I’m so glad I finally decided to go through with it and my only regret is that I didn’t do it years before! Thank you so much to Brossard LASIK for your friendly, supportive and professional staff.
