Here 18 days. Staff incredible until tonight..Nurses busy preparing a patient for surgery. I don't speak 2 languages. These two nurses stood above me.Asked questions multiple times, didn't seem to understand my answers. Worst of all, stood above me and had a conversation in a different language. I found that very unprofessional. Don't know if they were talking about me. Don't care. Have your conversation some where else and don't walk away when I am trying to ask something. As I said, very unprofessional talking above me. Every other nurse care aide even cleaning staff are the best I have ever seen. Tonight I am feeling helpless and very angry. To add to this I talked to a nurse. These were care aides

I’m honestly not sure if my experience at LMH deserves even 1 star… I’m truly not one to run to emergency, unless it’s absolutely necessary. I went due to the most excruciating pain in my lower abdomen, I couldn’t breath, it hurt to move, I felt like fainting many times, I was shaking, crying…I suspected it to be appendicitis. My mother had this and I recognized the symptoms. My pain was exactly where my appendix was. I told the nurse at check in what I believed was happening, she didn’t write that on my form, I know this because while I was asked to wait the pain increase and my husband had to explain the serious concern of an appendix rupture and her response was “I can make a note on her form that it’s an appendix” Super long and traumatic story short, they had a suspected appendicitis patient waiting on the waiting room, the in worst imaginable pain, for 8.5hrs! I was terrified that if this was my appendix and it bursts, I would get extremely poisoned by sepsis and require immediate surgery. The little bit of staff they had there, barely acknowledged me, I ended up having to advocate for myself just to get the bare minimum done - blood, vitals, maybe a ct scan. I understand that there is a strike happening, but people who are in immediate critical emergencies should not be neglected. And I understand that people get called by acuity, but I watched a lot of people with non threatening injuries, ie: broken foot, be called hours ahead of me, mean while I’m looking and feeling like I’m about to die. I know that sounds dramatic, but that is exactly how I felt. Lucky for me I didn’t go into sepsis, but making a suspected appendicitis patient wait 8.5hrs with no offer or antibiotics, or any sign of urgency to confirm, is outrageous. I will never, ever, for any reason come back to this hospital. My health and wellbeing was not important.

I am truly grateful for the exceptional support and care I received at LMH post elective c-section by Dr Das and also thankful to the entire team inside the OT -their kindness, and professionalism made me feel comfortable and well cared for during the entire process. The nurses and doctors in the maternity ward are excellent and took good care of me and my baby. Forever grateful! Highly recommend! Thank you so much!

I cant say anything positive. From walking in the front door I was like um 😐 where do I go. Nothing is clear or anything. No one in information and no one at the patient registry . I literally waited 30 min till I started calling .then calling u get the rudest people who answer. I was there picking up my partner from surgery. Yet I can't even find him. When the nurse called me to come pick him up she said just go to registration. Well if no one is there then what do I do ?? So I start calling my partners phone to see maybe they nurse will pick up . Sure enough after im an hour late to pick up but im literally in the lobby trying to find him the nurse called me asking if I was coming . Like wat a joke it all was. The stress I was under . No one around to help . Operators are rude and won't help me . Next time dont care the situation we are going to a different hospital.

Today I stopped by LMH and was greeted by Mark at the front door. Incredibly respectful, knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely the face and personality you want greeting those who come to the hospital, who are usually stressed. Alita led us to our location and was incredibly kind. What a great way to start our visit at LMH. Thanks again mark for just being awesome. 😀

Today i visited the hospital to get education with my dad about a surgery he will be having this coming Friday. His appt was at 2 pm and we had to check in at 145 at the patient registration. My dad didn’t understand the direction she told him to go. I went to the front desk and the woman that he had registered with was extremely rude and was irritated that I had come back to ask for direction. Her direction was unclear and she lacked simple kindness. I had to ask three ppl. I rated this three because overall, I have never had a bad experience at this hospital. Also, our education was phenomenal from the nurse we had met. The hospital should really think about who they place at the front desk. This is usually the first contact a patient makes with the hospital. The front registration desk needs to be educated about politeness. Nobody comes to the hospital for fun. We definitely were not there for fun. The experience we have had with healthcare proffessionals after my loved one diagnosis were kind and proffessional. They would be rated at the max. But this woman at the front desk would be rated at a -10. She was despicable.

While the staff here are such hard working professionals and the quality of care is excellent, the wait times are absolutely unacceptable, unbelievable, and COMPLETELY out of hand. Sitting in a full emergency room on a Friday night, a 12 hour wait is so irresponsible of our government to force upon patients. We have NO CHOICE to wait it out in pain and distress. An example, a young man with a serious cut requiring no more than 5 minutes of stitches has been waiting to be seen for 8 hours. We have been told the doctor is still in surgery. The only doctor?? There are at least 50 people waiting to be seen here at 2 am on a Friday. We arrived at 6 pm and may not be seen until 6 am. There simply cannot be one single doctor to deal with all of this, and if so, this is extremely irresponsible of Fraser Health. No wonder Canadians are now traveling to places like Mexico, China, India to receive prompt quality health care. After this experience, we will be considering these types of options. But we absolutely shouldn’t have to.

Nothing but great things in the maternity ward. My wife ended up having a high risk pregnancy/delivery and we ended up staying 4-5 days in the hospital. Every nurse and doctor was excellent and very caring. They took time to answer all our questions and I felt like they were happy to help and give advice when I asked. Dr.Love and our OG nurse Ana were excellent

We had a very positive experience at the Emergency Department, especially considering my son is autistic and can feel overwhelmed in medical settings. Laura, who handled our triage, was exceptionally considerate, patient, and calm. She took the time to approach my son gently, spoke in a reassuring way, and made sure he felt safe and understood. A big shout-out as well to Raj from Security, who went out of his way to help by providing a fidget toy and bubbles. Anna, our nurse, was also very helpful, attentive, and compassionate throughout our visit.
