I had such an amazing experience at Lacuna Wellness with Mallory. She is an incredibly skilled and attentive RMT who really takes the time to understand what your body needs. I went in with a lot of tension in my neck, shoulders, and jaw, and she targeted those areas so effectively. Her technique was a balance of therapeutic and relaxing, and I left feeling a huge amount of relief. Mallory made me feel completely comfortable throughout the session and clearly has a deep understanding of how everything in the body connects. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and their well-being. Highly recommend Mallory at Lacuna Wellness!

Unfortunately the RMT facial massage that I booked was completely underwhelming and disappointing given the high price point for the service. The clinic has great reviews and I had been looking forward to my appointment for a few weeks! Unfortunately I felt like the whole service was rushed and disjointed. I understand that some techniques (like lymphatic drainage) are lighter touch, but there was such light pressure used the entire service that I was left feeling like I was waiting for any type of “massage” to actually begin, and genuinely confused about how any of the stated objectives in the RMT facial massage service description could be achieved. Further, there was no check in on how the pressure was, which in my experience is a standard thing for a practitioner to ask especially when working with a new customer. I have genuinely had more of a face and scalp massage during a 30 minute express facial at a salon than during this service. Further, my practitioner collected me 5 minutes after my appt start time, so by the time the service began it was 10 minutes past the hour. The service was concluded 2 minutes before the end of the allotted time, meaning that I ended up paying $200 for a 50 minute service; $200 is at the very high end for an hour long massage and ultimately I felt there was very little massage that actually occurred so I really don’t see how this price point can be justified. I want to clarify that in the appt confirmation email (photos attached) there are no instructions about waiting in the lobby to be collected by the practitioner given that my appointment was during business hours, ie before 6pm. I had been waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes prior to my appt time, and at 4 minutes after my appt was due to begin and having not been collected by anyone, I first called the phone number for Lacuna wellness. There was no answer. I then tripple checked the confirmation email and confirmed there were no instructions about waiting in the lobby to be collected, and since it was already minutes past when the service was scheduled to begin I felt it was reasonable to go check if there was a unit 500 for Lacuna wellness in case I was supposed to check in there. After completing a lap of the floor and running into someone else who worked at the building who confirmed a practitioner usually collects customers from the lobby, I then retuned to wait again. If you are going to say that the appt began late because the customer was not in the lobby I would suggest 1) ensuring your appt confirmation emails make this process clear for appts that occur during business hours, 2) are able to answer the phone around appt times, 3) collect customers before their appt slot begins to avoid any confusion and to ensure a prompt start to expensive services. I think a full refund should be in order.

I have seen both Mallory and Bianca for years and trust them fully to treat any issues I have. I swear these women are magic. Both are so kind and considerate, taking the time to listen to my concerns and discuss how they are going to address them. I have had several injuries over the past few years and I don’t know how I would have recovered without their support. Keep up the good work ladies!

You know I would give Mallory 5 stars and I rave a lot about her she’s amazing but This Bianca lady is an absolute nightmare. It’s particularly disheartening because I was genuinely looking forward to trying a new practitioner to get a different feel, even though I have a regular massage therapist I love (Mallory). It’s just a shame that the clinic’s policy didn’t allow for a one-time exception to this fee especially when they haven’t even met me yet and didn’t take into account the complexities of my medical situation. Considering that I’m already paying over a thousand dollars every eight weeks for my cervical dystonia treatments at Parkinson’s clinic, and my benefits are almost used up for massage since I only get 500 a year…this just adds to the financial strain even more. It would mean a lot if she could show a little more understanding in cases like this. She even threatened to charge me the full fee because I mentioned what she has done this to me. I most definitely do not recommend this women…. there is no empathy from her in any way. People make mistakes especially when they have a neurological disorder like mine and can barely cope throughout a day without tremors. Here was her response to me Perhaps I should charge 100% of the fee if you are planning to negatively affect my buisness and income.

I highly recommend Lacuna Wellness. Mallory is friendly, knowledgeable and skilled in massage therapy. The treatment room is cozy and the hot stone massage is next level.

Bianca gave me the BEST massage of my life! She is strong and hits points I didn't know I had. Absolutely healing! Sooo lucky to have found her.

Mallory is the best, very skilled and personable. She modifies her treatment to match the goals and preferences of her clients in a professional and relaxing setting. I have no hesitation recommending her. Thanks for all your help Mallory!

Mallory is so amazing!!! Do not hesitate to book an appointment with her. She is highly skilled! I moved here from QC a couple years ago and was looking for a good RMT. Got a recommendation from a workmate when she was at another location. Had 2 sessions with her and loved it. When i discovered she had left, i googled her and found out she had moved into her own practice. Soooo relaxing and invigorating. :)

One of if not best RMT my wife and I've had and we've had alot. Very knowledgeable, can do a variety of pressures and offers a hot stone massage that's awesome and also covered by insurance providers. If you live Downtown Van it's worth the sea bus and pop by the shipyards and or a brewery on the way home 😀
