Tried this place as I had a student discount with UQAM. I had read the reviews before hand and knew what to expect. Very small cramped and messy space. It's ok for an Express eye exam and quick pair of glasses. I would have very much appreciated them wiping the equipment between clients as you have to put your face on certain machines! Or providing disinfectant wipes for example. It was not very sanitary. I got a good cheap pair of glasses that are ok. Customer service wise I felt pretty rushed in and out. Not terrible but definitely could make improvements to make customers more comfortable.

Nice glasses at a good price, with friendly service!

When I accidentally broke my glasses on the first day of a three day trip to Montreal, I popped into this cute little shop to see if they could help me. The proprietor set me up with a pair of frames he could pop my lenses into, for a very reasonable price. Incredibly grateful for the service. Merci beaucoup!!

I had a very negative experience here. I visited here based on the previous good review, but my actual experience differed from them today. As a person of color, I felt I was treated unfairly and dishonestly. I do not recommend this place to others, especially to international students from McGill or Anglophones, unless they change their business ethics. The one star is for the optometrist Dr. Zhuo Fan Zhang for her professionalism during my eye exam which I appreciate. Unfortunately, the business practices of this clinic are not ethical. The price I was quoted over the phone, or written on their door-board was different from the price I was charged for the eye exam at the desk, and this discrepancy was not handled honestly. I hope they will learn how to treat everyone equally and transparently. Note: I saw a response to my review from La Boîte à Lunettes. Yes, friends call me Mriti as well as Chulthim Gurung. My payment receipt is attached here as a proof of it. This review is not just a unanimous opinion, but a first person witness statement. Based on this receipt, I already wrote a request letter to Studentcare Vision Network to remove your address from its website since you did not give the student discount as described on the site.

I was on vacation in Montreal during the Christmas season. The optometrist and the front desk staff (sorry, I forgot their names!) were incredibly helpful and expedited the process. I placed the order on the afternoon of the 23rd and was able to pick it up on the morning of the 24th at a very reasonable price (frame + astigmatism + nearsighted prescription + high-index lenses + urgent request). Thanks again!!!

The service here is excellent, and I’m very satisfied with my experience. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good and reasonably priced pair. :)

The optemetrist that did the exam (Joan Teboul) was super professional. I waited quite a bit but that's normal in a busy and very small office. The gentlemen, Mr. Bojku who seemed to be running the office, was continually rude, and eventually asked in a condescending voice if I speak French after figuring out that I may not get both of their services (frankly didn't like any of the options). Reminding me that there is a line of people here. Why does that matter? Of course, I speak French but he tried to find a way to impose his disrespect once he perceived I may not be the ideal client of 2 services at once. The sales woman was good, an inposing style, insisting that I shall do both at the same time, she was respectful thiugh. Finally I have to do the reimbursment myself because they find my code weird, and I'm fine with that. So paid $100, and still have to do the admin work. Though they were not trying to help in any way. I don't like to write reviews, but took my time here because it seems that you need a reminder, perhaps public, to be respectful and check your 'self importance' over a client that really is not going to recommand your funny self-importance nor service. It's cheap but really its doesn't have to be this way. Giving two stars for the optometrist here. C'est tout.

LOVED MY EXPERIENCE THERE!! I suck with choosing glasses, the owner Paul helped me out from beginning to end. His service was amazing, he was super patient with me and he lets you know of all the financial options. Love the glasses I got ❤️❤️❤️

A cheap place to go for a student eye exam and glasses if you're covered as part of the Studentcare Montreal Vision Network. As of August 2021, I paid less than 175$ for an exam and pair of glasses, 40$ for the exam itself after student health plan coverage. Very pleased we have some who recognize the importance of providing affordable eye care to students. I arrived early and was taken in early, the O.O.D was very familiar with student coverage. The whole process as a new client to choosing a pair of frames for new glasses took about 30 minutes. I received my prescription in hand without even having to ask. The glasses were ready for pickup 48 hours later. I was not pushed or coerced into purchasing anything extra. The office is small and located right on Saint Denis Street. Great place to go if you're looking for a pair of budget glasses. I believe they have more premium options too. I chose this place because of its proximity, and am satisfied. Oh and Dr. Paul Bukvoj doesn't speak English, or at least doesn't like to.

The service is alright and most of the staff is welcoming. Although, they pressure you (rudely) to have your glasses made with them if you are going to have an eye exam. I got my appointment cancelled because I wasn't sure if I would buy glasses from them.... The quality of the frames were a bit disappointing, they seemed cheap and about to break.
