“I recently had the pleasure of getting a pixie haircut by the talented Suraj Kumar, also known as the "Barber Beefcake," at Koko The Salon. Let me tell you, it was an experience like no other. However, it was Suraj's infectious humor and genuine personality that truly set the tone for the appointment. Suraj's expertise in hairstyling became apparent from the moment he got to work. With remarkable attention to detail and a dash of wit, he skillfully crafted the perfect pixie cut for me. From discussing my hair goals to understanding my personal style, Suraj went above and beyond to ensure that the haircut suited me perfectly. I didn't think anyone would understand what I meant by 'a feminine Glam-a-zon that you're also slightly afraid of', but here we are! But what truly sets Suraj apart is his ability to make the entire experience unforgettable. Throughout the session, we laughed, bantered, and created a comfortable and relaxed environment that made the haircut feel like a fun bonding session with a friend. “I have been in to see Suraj for my last 2 haircuts and beard service. I am extremely impressed with the service that Suraj provides. His attention to detail and the time that he spends making sure that I am completely satisfied with how it looks is definitely above and beyond. I highly recommend Suraj for anyone who is looking for a style that suits your needs (face shape, head shape, etc) Suraj also has provided me with knowledge about skin care and different ways to style my hair. He truly personalizes your style. I have seen other barbers in the past and I feel like I end up with a “cookie cutter” type of haircut despite telling them what I wanted. “I moved from Vancouver 15 months ago and worried I wouldn't find someone who could cut and style my difficult hair as well as the stylist I'd been seeing for 20 years in Vancouver. After three bad cuts elsewhere, my former stylist recommended Alann at Koko the Salon in NW Edmonton. I am totally happy! She has excellent skills, takes extra time to deal with the challenges of thick, short hair that grows and bends in every direction, and gives me exactly what I ask for. Plus, she's fun to talk to and gifts clients with homemade cookies and coffee to boot! The salon has a bright, warm, sophisticated and professional feel, and the team are all very friendly. I am totally happy with the fees, especially given that Alann takes extra time with my hair. My hairstyle is the only thing I wear absolutely every day!
