“Review for Sheryl Dedman I booked a bike session and spent almost an hour with SpecialKids, sharing many important details about my child’s needs. You promised to get back to me within a week. It has now been almost 40 days, during which I have sent eight follow-up emails and called your office a couple of times—without any response. I don’t usually write such personal reviews, but I have no choice but to let others know how unprofessional this experience has been. You spoke highly of your services during our conversation, but your actions have not matched your words. Please understand—parents of children with special needs are already under immense stress. “My 3yo son has had great success with his speech therapy. Originally he was doing private speech therapy but the coverage doesn't stretch far so I signed him up for public. My experience was this; his private therapist didn't accommodate for his natural distractability which ended up amplifying his unwillingness to "play along". At KidsAbility i can tell that theyre comfortable and patient when a kiddo gets off track. Their flexibility saved a lot of power struggles, in my our case. “My family has received amazing service for my daughter at this Waterloo location. Heather our speech pathologist has been excellent in being transparent with our goals and what all the lessons are intended to achieve. We have received a warm welcome from everyone we've been in contact with in this facility. I think this place is great for anyone needing their assistance. “It is a great place that helped and still helping my son. We were lucky to have Sandra gayman as our speech therapist. The only negative feedback I have is that the waiting time to put your kid in the program is very long.”

“I've been going to KidsAbility with 2 of my 3 kids since 2013. I've had incredible experiences with therapists (speech and mobility) and one that I'd wished I'd been transferred from very early on. Generally speaking, I think Kids Ability does a great job. Parents 100% have to be willing to take the work home with them. If we don't make the extra effort with our kids, Kids Ability can't 'fix' them in a 1-hour weekly session. We're lucky to have such a great place in the region to help support us.”Read moreShow less
