“When I first went to see Josh I was a bit hesitant because it didn’t look like the regular physios I go to. I soon learned that’s cause Josh has a different approach. Still hesitant I stuck it out for a few visits and after about 4 or 5 visits the results happened. A knee pain that didn’t allow me to be the tennis player I wanted. Pain that hindered my ability to move up and down stairs and everyday life vastly improved and was finally gone. I saw at least 4 different physio clinics that all tried the same approach but in different ways and never got lasting results. Nothing that got me back to 100 percent. The relief was temporary at best. I highly recommend Josh and his approach to treatment. I’m a stubborn 40 year old and it worked for me.”Read moreShow less

“Josh is the man! My hubby and I came to Josh with various injuries and he has been phenomenal with helping us recover and rebuild our strength. He is patient, knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. Love that he works out of the Kalsamrit gym, so it’s easy to get this appts while our son is in class. If you’re in need of a physiotherapist, book with Josh.”Read moreShow less

“If you need a physiotherapist for anything, you need Josh!. I started to see Josh for a BJJ injury, broken pinky finger. Josh’s knowledge, understanding, assessment and treatment was noted to be very thorough and supportive from the very first session. Through therapeutic exercises and hands on mobilization/manipulation, Josh carefully explained every step! He made sure I understood each exercise and made adjustments as my strength and mobility got stronger. Thanks to his expertise I am able to return to the activities that I love. I am extremely grateful and highly highly recommend Josh to anyone needing physiotherapy. Thank you so much Josh, you are the best! Nicole”Read moreShow less

“This was my first time doing physio of any kind before. Josh was excellent at communicating and structuring a plan for me to return to sport and lifting after a bad lower back /hip flexor injury that rendered me pretty much useless. Prior to this I was hesitant to do physio as I was worried I wouldn’t improve and only get prescribed a bunch of passive stretching. That was definitely not the case here. I have now improved significantly and returned to the gym and to the field. I would recommend Josh 10/10 times.”Read moreShow less

“I can’t recommend Josh highly enough. I came to him after a pretty scary shoulder injury from Brazilian jiu-jitsu. The ultrasound showed tendon tears and calcification in my bicep, and the pain was so intense that I honestly thought I’d be out for months. When I brought the results to Josh, he immediately walked me through everything in clear, simple terms that I could actually understand. More importantly, he stopped me from catastrophizing and helped me see a realistic path forward. He did a thorough assessment to establish a baseline and figure out exactly where I was at. What really stood out was his understanding of jiu-jitsu. Instead of just telling me to stay off the mats completely, he helped me safely get back to training. He explained exactly what movements to avoid (like posting with the injured arm and certain scrambles), while letting me continue drilling and doing light rolls. He also gave me a clear pain guideline...keep things under a 5, and if something hits a 4, stop doing that movement. He prescribed targeted exercises to strengthen my shoulder and rebuild it properly, and every visit we build on the progress. Having a physio who truly understands the sport makes a huge difference because his advice is specific and practical for real training situations. I’m still on the recovery journey and continue to see him, but the progress has been incredible. Instead of being completely off the mats for months, I was back enjoying jiu-jitsu in under a month. I would never have attempted this without him. If you train, compete, or deal with sports injuries, Josh is exactly the kind of physio you want on your team.”Read moreShow less

“Josh R physio has been crucial in recovery and strengthening of my shoulders. His attention to detail and creativity with exercises has produced results, fast. Josh’s knowledge of martial arts and how the body functions optimally for such sports has allowed me to train more without worry of injury, in fact the pains prior to seeing Josh have subsided significantly. Very impressed with Josh’s professionalism and welcoming demeanour. I highly recommend Josh to aid in whatever your physio goals are.”Read moreShow less

“Josh is one of the best physiotherapists Ive had the chance to work with. He works with you to get a good understanding of your injury and what is affected followed by a methodical approach to rehab to get you back into action. He's very knowledgeable in sport specific movements and understands how to build you back up for your sport. Very easy to work with, and is hands on with his approach with recovery. His methods are grounded in strength, movement, and functional range of motion. You will need to put in work as part of the process as he does not solely rely on passive modalities to treat injury. I have had really good results with Josh and working with him through with a variety of injuries that have kept me from training. Highly recommend Josh for anyone in need of a physio who cares about your recovery and to see you get back in the game.”Read moreShow less
