John Noble Home stands as a place of compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to resident-centered care. The heart of the home is its direct care staff—particularly the Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and nurses ,who dedicate their entire careers to supporting residents living with dementia.Their work goes far beyond routine care; it is a vocation rooted in empathy, patience, and deep respect for human dignity. The staff truly believe in providing care that inspires independence, preserves dignity, and ensures the best possible quality of life, especially during the later stages of life. Every interaction reflects an understanding that each resident is a unique individual with a life story, values, and personal philosophy that deserve to be honoured. Even in the face of cognitive decline, staff consistently support residents’ autonomy, individual choices, and sense of self. On a daily basis, staff are actively engaged in care processes designed to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care. These processes align with professional best practices, Ministry requirements, Comity of Management expectations and the home’s standards. This commitment to excellence is evident in the consistency of care, attention to detail, and strong collaboration among interdisciplinary teams. Continuous evaluation and improvement are embedded in the culture of the home, reinforcing a shared responsibility for resident safety, comfort, and well-being. Residents and their families frequently express deep personal gratitude for the staff’s daily involvement. Many residents feel genuinely supported—not only physically, but emotionally and socially—as staff take the time to listen, reassure, and connect on a human level. The encouragement of independence, respect for personal preferences, and acknowledgment of each resident’s perspective on life foster a strong sense of trust and belonging. Overall, John Noble Home exemplifies what compassionate, high-quality care should look like. The dedication of its PSWs and nurses, doctors , NPs, physiotherapists, pharmacists, dietitian, recreation, maintenance, dietary staff combined with strong leadership and adherence to high standards, creates a culture where residents are cared for with respect, dignity, and kindness throughout every stage of their journey. We are proud to support our elders and continue working collaboratively towards excellence in care and to address all aspects of our residents experience.

Exercise Extreme Caution if considering placing your loved one in this facility. My mother stayed at the Day and Stay program for just over a week and came home in excessive pain with severe rash and bruises. It is clear to me that the care provided in the Day and Stay program is not sufficient. I sent all creams and necessities and they did not open a single container for her care... not even her toothpaste... Were they not brushing her teeth all week either!? I've reached out and have yet to receive a phone call back. No one explained anything to me if there were any issues over the week. Everything seemed very hush-hush and no one appears to want to take responsibility for the poor care provided. I will never send her back to this place again!

John Noble Home is full of caring, professional and skilled staff. The care my mother received over the last year and a half was extraordinary. Care conferences with the team helped us to understand her experience and needs as a family. And the staff on Grand Terrace treated her and all of us like family. The PSW’s and nurses who work here are extraordinary. They went beyond professional care and offered loving kindness to my mom and to our entire family especially during her final days. It was a blessing to know she was surrounded by people that did more than their jobs. They put their hearts into the work. And it is not easy work. But it is incredibly important to families and society. I’m grateful for all the care and support we received. Thank you.

Amazing place! The team at JNH is outstanding! The love and care that my mother received at the Day and Stay program as well as living at JNH for the last year and a half has been wonderful! The entire team have been a blessing to my mom and our entire family. Grand Terrace PSW's, nurses, physio, Dr. Legere, recreation, food services, reception, administration and custodial team members took the greatest care and were extremely kind to my mother. They loved Mom and it showed. During Mom's last week they showed such love, kindness and respect to Mom and all the family as we spent her final days together in her room. They are all angels, doing such amazing work for the residents every day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Poorly trained staff. PSW workers are not certified or have the knowledge to properly care for the elderly with disabilities.

What I have seen today on live from your nursing home is a shame. How can you have a joyful heart treating your patients worse than in a jail. Let their loved ones in to visit without any restrictions. These people you treat are the ones who stood up for your freedom. Do not forget. Please do not hesitate and listen to your heart. Who cares if you loose your job, it's more important to stand up for these seniors and another door will open up for your career. God is great and I seriously hope he will open your hearts and let the love in.
