“My day took quite an unexpected turn when my toddler jumped on my glasses while there were on my face and completely broke the frame. One side was beyond repair — even crazy glue wouldn’t have saved it! As a teacher, I really can’t function long without my glasses. I can’t drive or do much of anything properly. I went to Iris hoping for some kind of miracle, and ladies there truly worked as a team to try to help. They carefully checked if the frame could be repaired, but in the end we realized I definitely needed new frames. Instead of giving up, they started trying different options and somehow managed to find a perfect pair that fit my prescription lenses exactly. I honestly have no idea how those optical wizards made it work, but they did! They got everything fitted so I can actually function like a normal human again while I wait the two weeks for my new glasses to be ready. I’m so impressed with the teamwork and care from the staff here. They were patient, creative, and genuinely determined to help. The frames they chose fit me perfectly, and as a bonus I even saved money on taxes since I was only paying for the frames and using my existing lenses. “Best eye clinic in Oceanside. Have not only saved my eyesight but when my husband had an eye event and his own clinic would not see him right away, Donna got him in to see Dr Phillips right away and object was removed from the eye within 5 minutes. “I wish I had gotten their names, but I really want to thank the two ladies who were working at Iris the day I went in. I had been staying at Tigh-Na-Mara and I wore my glasses into the sauna for five minutes the night before. When I came out, my glasses were warped. I had to take a taxi to the optometrist because I could not see anything. Although I haven’t worn contact lenses for 20 years, they were able to give me some comfortable temporary lenses to at least get me home. I appreciate how kind and helpful they were, and that they tried to come up with a solution for me. Note to anyone using the sauna at that resort… There are no signs warning you, but the dry heat in there is very high and can cost you a lot of money no matter how good the coating is on your glasses, so leave your glasses outside the door.”Read moreShow less
