“Great place! The hygienist is so good, she is very gentle, fast and careful. I actually enjoy getting my teeth cleaned. Dr. Meghan McKenzie is nothing short of amazing. I have several severe contact allergies and she has gone above and beyond to ensure all materials are safe for me. My filling was totally painless and was done so quickly. I highly recommend the Interlake Dental Centre!!”

“Staff is very professional and caring. I’ve had a phobia of dentists all my life. Dr. Matthew Fines is very thorough and clearly tells you what he is doing or about to do. My fear of needles is a lot less prevalent because of his calming voice. His dental assistant is wonderful. She also will calmly tell you what the next steps will be during the cleaning process. This is the first dental office that sends reminders for the next appointment. I find that Interlake Dental Centre in Selkirk to be stellar in terms of customer service and quality.”

“Dr. Fines and his team at Interlake Dental are, in a word, incredible. In much more than a word: Like a lot of people, I’ve carried a bit of a fear of going to the dentist. After many, many years of avoiding the dentist and neglecting my oral health because of multiple traumatic childhood experiences, I finally decided enough was enough and forced myself to book an appointment with Dr. Fines at Interlake Dental. I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was met with patience, kindness, and genuine understanding from Dr. Fines and all of the staff I interacted with. They never made me feel embarrassed about how long it had been. They never ridiculed me nor criticized me for avoiding dentists for so long. Instead of being abrasive and disparaging like some doctors can be, Dr. Fines was kind, professional, and reassuring. He explained everything clearly before and during the appointment, checking in frequently to make sure I was okay, and making sure I felt in control the entire time. If things went poorly at this appointment, there’s a good chance I’d never return to another dentist. Instead, I feel confident now to take charge of my oral health. Dr. Fines and his team are beginning to restore my trust in dentists. That’s no easy feat. If you’ve been putting off dental care because of fear or a bad past experience, I get it, and I genuinely recommend giving Dr. Fines and his team a chance. Please do so — it will, in no exaggerated terms, change your life. They truly care about their patients and go out of their way to make you feel safe and respected. “I had a great experience here getting a filling done. The staff were friendly from the moment I walked in, and the dentist took the time to explain what was going to happen and checked in with me throughout. The freezing worked quickly, the actual filling was done fast, and I was in and out much sooner than I expected. No pain, no pressure, and they made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I really appreciate how professional and approachable everyone was, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back or recommend them to others.”
