For all patients requiring supplement pick-up, our assistant is available in office Tues-Thu from 9am-3pm and most Fridays 9am-12pm ( Our Midwives cannot help with these transactions. )

“We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have had Ace's support and care during two of our pregnancies. She created an inclusive and welcoming environment for both my partner and I. Our situation was unique as we were both pregnant at the same time. Ace supplied us with all the necessary information to make informed decisions and offered the time and support we needed during our pregnancies. She was there through medical emergencies, a home birth and c-section. If we were to describe our experience with Ace, we would say that she is a safe, supportive, knowledgeable, and outstanding midwife. She will go above and beyond for you and has an unwavering sense of calm with her presence. We would highly recommend her with no hesitation. “We were truly fortunate to have Ace from First Light Midwifery as our care provider for both of our pregnancies. Right from our very first appointment, Ace's vast knowledge and calming presence instilled a deep sense of security within us. After every checkup, we found ourselves growing more empowered and in control of our pregnancy journey. Ace went the extra mile, patiently explaining the purpose behind the recommended tests, blood work, and examinations, ensuring we were always in the know. We never felt rushed or unheard, and we certainly didn't have to pretend we were already experts. When the time came for our little ones to make their debut, Ace was there without hesitation, and our confidence in their abilities never wavered. “My partner and I had the fortune to receive midwifery care from Ace Porter at First Light Midwifery, both as the birther and birth partner. With both pregnancy, Ace provided a knowledgeable, and holistic approach to our needs. Throughout the pregnancies, she provided information as needed and respected the decisions that felt right for our family. Ace showed passion, advocacy, and a genuine interest in providing the best care possible for both of us and our babies. During our births, we experienced her calm, confident and respectful care that was a grounding force in the intensity that came with the births. She provided ongoing support and encouragement throughout the process and was prepared for alternative care plans if requested or needed. We will be forever grateful, specifically for Ace's postpardum care and home visits as she suspected our first born needed to be monitored a bit closer at the hospital. Within hours of being admitted to the hospital, we were airlifted to BC Children's Hospital for alternative care. Throughout the stress of our world being rocked, Ace provided postpardum check in care from a distance and advocated for our family. We were able to be with our baby and get the treatment he needed to bounce back healthier, and stronger than before. “Having Ace from First Light Midwifery guide us through both our pregnancies was the greatest blessing. I always felt heard and like my questions were important. Ace provides clear and nonjudgmental information and education during appointments, empowering parents to make decisions that feel right for their family. When I really wanted and asked for her opinion, she offered reassuring guidance. She is a calm and steady presence in what can otherwise be a challenging transition. During labour and birth itself, Ace has an intuition to know exactly what I needed to progress - the words I needed to hear, the space I needed, the education, and the reassurance. I had two beautiful births that I can only attribute to her believing in me and supporting me in a holistic sense while also providing excellent technical skills for managing shoulder dystocia, tears, hemorrhages, and chest feeding challenges. I have also received cross coverage from Rosalynd during my post partum period and she provided such a similar calm and informative approach. It was so reassuring seeing as I had not met her during the pregnancy phase of my journey. “I’ve been seeing Dr. Morley for over a year now and I really am so thrilled to have finally found a practitioner who I can trust and who listens and involves me in the treatment plan. I have a medical issue that a lot of doctors are not knowledgeable about and are uncomfortable treating, Dr. Morley never even blinked she heard what I was telling her and suggested acupuncture and acupuncture is the first treatment that has kept my condition under control and allowed me to move around comfortably again. I have never once felt like a nuisance bringing up an issue with her and she always takes time to help me figure out the best course of action.
