We contacted this company after seeing their advertising because we were considering switching our insurance. We completed the online quote request and spent a considerable amount of time on the phone providing all the information needed for a quote. We were told it would be refined and someone would call us back, but we didn't hear anything. It was disappointing to invest that much time only to receive no follow-up. Even if they decided they couldn't offer us a policy, a quick call or email would have been appreciated.

They did a horrible and half assed job fixing our Subaru after almost 2 months of “repairs”. The middle seatbelt is missing, the door they “rebuilt” is incomplete and parts are just not there that once were, they also left us with a new door ding that was never there prior to dropping it off with them :) 10,000$ later for shit service.

I am an existing long-term client, 40+ years. Had A automobile claim, was treated well, the only downfall was the over explaining things repetitively. I suppose to protect themselves. Unfortunately, I did not record my telephone calls with the adjusters. Highly recommend you record your calls when speaking to the adjusting side. I was left with the impression, that I would be granted one additional day on the rental vehicle cost. Apparently I’m wrong, but again I did not record my calls. Long and the short of it don’t do business over the telephone with them unless it’s being recorded or ask them to send you an email with a summary of the telephone conversation. Process will become cumbersome, but it protects you.

Extremely Disappointing Experience I rarely leave reviews, but this experience deserves one. Dealing with this brokerage and broker Fadi El Agha has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I clearly informed them in writing that my old bank account was closed and provided new banking information well in advance to prevent an NSF. Despite this, they still attempted to withdraw from the closed account, which caused an NSF fee that I am still waiting to have reimbursed. I also requested the removal of a driver from my policy, yet I was still charged for additional days after the removal request. When I asked for clarification about this and about an unexplained $481 charge, my emails were either ignored or answered with vague and incomplete explanations. Instead of fixing the issues, I was left chasing responses and dealing with unnecessary financial stress caused by their mistakes. The level of communication, professionalism, and accountability I experienced was extremely I will escalate the issue through the appropriate consumer and regulatory complaint channels. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that anyone considering this brokerage proceed with caution.

I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated during my today call with them. The representative was disrespectful and showed little interest in helping me. No customer should feel dismissed or poorly treated when seeking assistance. That Indian guy wanted to fight with me which is shameful.

Worst Insurance company ever. I cancelled my insurance 2 months after my renewal as they had raised my price due to a mis function with their tracking program. When I spoke to a representative to cancel the tracker they did not do so resulting to them tracking me in my work vehicle so I got charged for km I never did with my personal vehicle. So before you use this company please read all the reviews as this place is absolute trash and they have no care for their clients

Poor service, raised my rates because I refused to install the mobile app. Will be switching immediately. Pick someone else, this company only cares about money, nit your insurance.

Don't deal with intact. They do not follow up on a claim and make up the rules as they go along. I finally got rid of them. I wish Bernhardt insurance hadn't been acquired by Pioneer and KRG insurance. My family were friends with the Bernhards. Archie Bernhardt roomed with my grand parents. KRG and Intact do not give a damn. Why I left Intact and KRG insurance? I left because of ongoing internal process issues and frequent unnecessary phone calls. Here are some examples. Failure #1 My car accident, in 2018, I was slammed into a wall on the 401 when a transport truck hauling steel coils moved over into my lane. I bounced out off the wall and rear ended another car. I was charged along with the truck driver in the incident. I went the court, and the charges were dropped, and I was told it was not my fault. Intact still said it was my fault and counted it as an at fault accident. I showed Intact the court documents and they still would not budge. Failure #2 My father passed away in 2019. His will left everything to my mother, myself, and the assets were jointly held between my mother and myself. Our Lawyer told us that since the assets were jointly held, it was not necessary to go to probate. What did Intact and KRG do. They told us that we must go to probate court. We sent the copies of the wills and assets documentation. They still would not budge. New insurance company had no trouble accepting this documentation. Failure #3: August 30th, 2020. We had a tornado and hailstorm, My JEEP was damaged by the hail, and I immediately reported it. I was told then to use the app, which I did. I was told to wait for a call on where to take the JEEP. 3 weeks later I received a notice my claim was being cancelled. The Millennial or GENZ customer rep failed to contact me on where to take the car and told me that I canceled the claim which I did not. I escalated it which I should not have to and jumped through hoops w to re-instate the claim. They told my auto body shop that they were panicking and trying to get me in as fast as possible. After many weeks, it was finally fixed. Failure # 4: Early 2025 I have multiple residences, Intact refused to insure my vehicles at the residents due to their location and told me my driver licenser needed to match each residence even if I was only there a few days. The agent even went as far as to communicate with the Waterloo Regional Police to say that my drivers license did not match my vehicles location. Fortunately, my OPP neighbour said there was no such requirement. The Intact broker, said I needed to do this, or they would not renew my insurance. Failure #5 I was told that I could not go to another insurance company because of my accident get no fault, accident forgiveness, etc. I went to another insurance company got more benefits for thousands of less for my home and auto. Oh, guess what they accepted my court documents and wills. I FIRED INTACT and DRG on the spot. How dare you treat a loyal customer like this. Finally, when I cancelled insurance from Intact I got letters saying my insurance was past due. I had to tell multiple people that I have in fact canceled my insurance. Good ridance fix your incompetent organization,

I was only insured for 12 days before cancelling due to selling my car, and I’m still being charged $750 in cancellation penalties. This amount is completely disproportionate to the time I was covered, and I have yet to receive any written breakdown of how it was calculated. I was not made aware of such a high penalty at the time of signing, and now I’m being told it’s due to a “mid-term cancellation” despite the policy being just days old. This feels more like a cash grab than a fair policy. Kindly assist!!!
