I had a big twinge so booked to see her the following day and of course the pain had disappeared BUT Jen discovered why, gently sorted it out and I am still feeling the very good effects falling into place 24 hours later. “Glad to see i'm not the only one who feels this way about Dr. Ayo Adebayo. Same experience as the other 1 star complaint on here, dif issue. Read on, its worth it. Imagine your GP snapping on you then turning around to try and gaslight you a few minutes later. "If thats how you perceived it" "If that's what you feel happened" Buddy, i'm not your wife, I don't have to put up with your shit. My GP is not going to lose it on me over a request to see a specialist / MRI but it's the gaslighting that ended this for me and lead me to trying a different doctor in the same clinic. Can you imagine a GP looking you dead in the face and saying "A podiatrist does not treat foot gout. Why would you want to see one?" ... Are you dumb? Does anyone reading this not know that foot gout is indeed diagnosed and treated by foot doctors? Where's your education from? Captn' Crunch cereal box? So why did he snap on me? Here we go: After dealing with foot issues for 10 yrs, having x-rays from a previous GP, the uric acid pills prescribed by Dr. Ayo for a year not remedy the issue and simply asking for a referral to a specialist to see if we can get to the root cause or get an MRI so we can see if there's soft tissue damage. This 'doctor' kept asking me what the end goal was in my request for an MRI... Uh... To get to the root cause of this 10 year issue that nobody has an answer for and you're treatment isnt solving.... Determine if there's long term tissue or joint damage considering the length his has been happening. Getting a full picture to determine if this is even gout... Not good enough of a reason for know-it-all-Ayo??? After explaining everything prior already, he kept insisting on an X-ray to check for a fracture when it's not a fracture. I can jump up and down on my foot, its not a damn fracture. Maybe there was one a month or two earlier, but its fully healed at this point. I've had x-rays before. I've been dealing with this issue for 10 years. I need a specialist to determine that this is even gout as it could be a couple other things. How do I know it could be a couple other things? Glad you asked! Here's where he gets snappy. My best friend is a Podiatrist in another Country and has been strongly suggesting an MRI to get a full picture of what's going on as it might not necessarily be gout and a GP won't know that so he heavily recommended I get a local podiatrist as they could be better equipped to get to the root cause. Also, a podiatrist is generally a good idea for a guy with chronic foot issues. Outrageous, I know! So when Dr. Ayo is asking what my goal is regarding my foot that I would think requires an MRI or specialist and wouldn't accept or hear my answer. Kept trying to tell me we should check for a fracture instead, I offered to put him in contact with my podiatrist friend who could better explain what the goal would be since I might not be describing things accurately and was trying to get an answer to his question. He is a friend. Its a simple phone call I can make in 2 seconds. It wasn't a challenge of his limited knowledge and supposed to be some kind of breaking point for his fragile ego, I was trying to help him. "I am a GP I DO NOT NEED OUTSIDE COUNCIL. I do not care what your PODIATRIST friend thinks is the issue. GET A SECOND OPINION" ... Btw Dr. Ayo had previously sought out outside council for a dif issue previously that he told me he wasn't familiar enough with as he is a relatively new doctor. I guess a yr later this guy knows everything? How dare anyone try to give him an answer to his question and remind him that the "G" in "GP" stands for "General" and he may not be fully versed on issues specialists are. WHAT A JOKE OF A DOCTOR. Imagine all this drama and having your GP storm out of the room and tell you to get a new doctor when you won't put up with being gaslight or being snapped on all for a simple referral request? Oh, he had the wrong chart too and thought i was in for a physical... Hopefully other Docs here are good. I see a good review for Dr. Shirley heres to hoping!”Read moreShow less
