“I had my dry eyes treated at Inner Harbour Optometry by Ashley and my life has seriously been changed for the better. I used to have to close my eyes at 4PM and just sleep early because my eyes hurt so bad, and now I don’t really think about using eye drops unless I’ve been reckless with my screen time :) I’ve recommended the full treatment package (IPL, PRP drops, extractions) to a number of friends with dry eyes. Ashley also provided exceptional care, professionalism, and just a fantastic experience overall. 10/10 would do it again, although with the care I’ve received, it doesn’t look like I’ll need to!”Read moreShow less

“I've been to several optometrists in my time in Victoria and this was one of my best experiences. I needed an appointment on short notice and staff were quick to respond to my email and help find a time that works. The appointment was thorough as well as quick. “**editing because I can’t respond, and removing a star due to the abhorrent unprofessionalism: No, I was not offered to come back “free of charge” I had already been charged for the $55 teach which I was told no one had time to actually do. The optometrist did not make “several attempts” to help; she gave no feedback at all other than saying my hands must not be dry enough — she then struggled to put it in for me herself. I am not frustrated that I couldnt get the contacts out — I am frustrated that your entire staff were not willing to make any effort (or time) to educate and that I was charged for a service I didn’t receive. Why would I book a second appointment to get the service I had booked THIS appointment and you as a service provider didn’t set aside enough time for? If you cared about rectifying anything, the $55 would have been refunded. The deflection is expected, but considering this is not your first review on this issue I would suggest some self criticism. Original review: I had a really frustrating and disappointing experience here. I came in for the first time for an exam and contact lens appt. I told them I have worn contacts but explicitly that it’s been almost 20 years and I don’t remember much.. The doctor (and later the assistant/technician) gave no guidance on insertion and removal other than to just “grab it” — which other reviews have claimed too. When I asked the doctor for advice or approach she just said my hands must not be dry. During my appointment there was another patient having the same experience and said verbatim “I don’t know what I’m doing wrong?” to the technician — because of how lacking any instruction or feedback was. When I voiced frustration to Dr Kaumanns on the lack of guidance I was told that my issue must just be that I have nails and that there was no time for a full “teach” on contact lens wearing, despite being charged $55 for that which my otherwise 100% insurance didn’t cover. Because I didn’t book a follow up appointment for a SECOND lens teach (which this was) and to buy lenses and glasses through them, they refused to give me my prescription until I insisted (as they are my health record..).”Read moreShow less
