“I booked an appointment over the phone for a 60 minute massage. While booking I specified that I preferred a female massage therapist and was told that’s not a problem. I completed the forms sent prior to attending and still arrived at my appointment 15 mins prior to the start time as it’s customary to have a consultation with the therapist for an initial assessment. I was first greeted at my start time which wasn’t a problem. However I learned that I wasn’t getting the female therapist like I requested. I’ve been really looking forward to my massage so I didn’t initially bring it up. The consultation process took way longer than expected as there was a large language barrier and found myself repeating my background and intentions for the massage multiple times. Due to the consultation taking so long my massage did not start until 15-20mins after the start time. The room that the massage took place was just a common physio room. The head rest was lined with bounty paper towel, the rooms lights were on full brightness, and there was no sound barrier or music. So the entire massage was listening to the front desk staff talking the whole time. During the consultation I requested a full body massage with emphasis on my back. I spent the entire massage on my stomach and was not asked to flip over to complete a full body massage. At exact scheduled end time, the massage therapist promptly walked out saying he was done. Overall the massage was decent. However, this was by no means the massage experience I was paying for. The 60 minute massage was more like 40mins, no attempt to make the massage experience relaxing but rather felt like a doctors appointment, and the inability to understand simple conversation and direction required for the massage, all left this experience extremely disappointing and frankly severely uncomfortable. “I've been going to IAM for about 1 1/2 years, seeing Carol Moore for a fairly rare neck condition that struck me as I reached my 80's. There's a good reason why I've kept going there ... Carol is the best! She's friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and goes out of her way to help me – she always welcomes my relating of the latest diagnosis from my doctors, and researches what she can do to help my condition. She’s become a friend. Then a short while ago I developed a different condition that required another therapist, and I was recommended to see Sreejith, the owner. Another success story!
