“Mount Gillespie with glaciers, tarns and views as far Mt Baker, Black Tusk, Lions and Sky Pilot. The route going up requires dropping on to sand covered icy glacier and on the way down we decided to pick a different route to avoid the moraine and ended up doing a lot of scrambling while down climbing. Bug swarm definitely didn't get the October memo but good thing they don't bite. No cross ditches on FSR but 4x4 truck needed to get to final trailhead while crawling up steep slope with loose rocks. Numerous ups and downs still is the killer, feels like climbing 4 mtns in a short span.”Read moreShow less
