Had a prenatal massage and the massage itself was nice. My back felt relaxed after and I’ve had a lot of back pain during pregnancy. What I am disappointed about is the massage not being a full 50 minutes and hearing loud talking throughout the entire experience at the front. It made it difficult to fully relax when there was a lot of chatting going on at a pretty loud volume.

I have been there regular customer from past couple of years and have been availing their RMat services on regular basis. My best experience has been with Noah. He is professional , understand what individual body demands and always hit the right areas. But today I tried another RMT but it seems like he was practicing for the first time. Didn’t want to name the RMT but I am sure Hands and Stone knows who I am talking about. It was not worth my money.

I’m not even sure how to put my experience into words, but I ended my massage early because it was just so awful. Rough, jerky movements, no effort into massaging any particular muscle and extremely repetitive basic movements that my child could have done. The oil was slapped on like I was being basted. And an odd attempt at a head massage that made me feel like I was being pet like a dog. 0/10

Had an amazing facial with microdermabrasion as an add on with Alicia. I highly recommend her!! Also had the best bikini wax done! Will definitely be returning and booking Alicia again!!

The staff are wonderful, excellent service by their RMT's and Aesthetician's, facials are fabulous, very relaxing. They offer great deals via their website! Definitely would go again.

I had my first appt there yesterday which I enjoyed however it left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth having booked a '50 minute massage', and having the RMT come out to get me 6 minutes late, then leave to get waivers for several minutes in addition to the few minutes being left to change. We started the massage over 15 minutes late and still ended at 5:50pm which ends up being 35 minutes vs 50. I very rarely treat myself to massages so would have been nice to receive the amount of time I paid for.

My sister, who lives in British Columbia, surprised me for my birthday by booking a treatment at Hand & Stone. She arranged a 25-minute massage, a 25-minute facial, and added on extra services for both a foot treatment and essential oil scalp massage. When I returned home, she asked how I enjoyed the additional services, which came as a surprise to me, because they never happened. During my appointment, my socks never came off, (I’d love to ask her what colours my toes were) and my hair (which was tied back in a slick bun) was never touched. The aesthetician completed a short back massage, the facial, and then massaged my arms and hands. That was the full extent of the service. When I called to explain, the manager apologized and kindly rebooked me so the missed services could be completed. However, I then received an email stating that my appointment was cancelled because the aesthetician claimed she had performed the treatments, and that I was simply “sleeping and relaxed.” (I snore loudly, you’d know if I was sleeping). Another supervisor i spoke with, implied that I was lying, which was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. To be clear: I was awake and fully aware for the entire appointment, and I can assure you that neither the scalp nor foot treatments occurred. The way this situation has been handled — dismissing my experience, cancelling my follow-up, and accusing me of being dishonest — is unacceptable. This was meant to be a thoughtful birthday gift from my sister, a complete surprise as I was unaware of the services that she purchased for me, and instead it turned into an upsetting experience marked by poor accountability and a complete lack of customer care. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses how situations like this are handled in the future.

Had a great experience today. Daniel is fantastic. He is very professional and I liked his technique. He not only massaged but did some gentle stretches and move arms in various positions to uncover different muscles. The spa is a clean and relaxing environment. Slightly more expensive than other massages I’ve had, however they offer some added touches like hot towels. Aromatherapy scalp massage is worth the added expense.

Massage is all about time. They charge you for 60 mins and the massage is only for 50 mins. That too the therapist do not complete the 50 mins, and wrap up within 40 mins. On my feedback to them, they make me follow up for over weeks and their resolution is they would add the undelivered 10 mins on my next session. I am bound to go back since I’ve pre-purchased 4 visits from hand and stone as a package and cannot let my money go to waste. I book another appointment today, they make it look like they added 10 mins as a complimentary service from their side. I enter the room at 2:45, massage starts at 2:55 and massage is done at 3:45. That’s again 50 mins. So this time it was about completing the service. I’m really very disappointed with the professionalism on the time here and lack of control on this. I was also surprised to see them add the complimentary 10 mins on my bill today as though I was given a favour. My first massage therapist didn’t care to customize the massage as per the pressure I needed. Today was decent, but I’m sure I’d get a value for money from RMT much better from any other service provider. Will explore but I truly recommend that if they’re charging $140+tax for 1 hour and not even fulfilling 40 mins properly, try else where.
