“Not actually a customer, popped in because I had a lense pop out on my sunglasses and it was the closest place to get it fixed. Guy who helped me out did the repair for free! Will definitely be back when I need a new pair. Very friendly service.”

“I stopped by because I'd lost a screw to a pair of sunglasses that I hadn't bought there. That made no difference: they promptly, courteously and at no charge made the repair. When it's time for my next eye exam, I'm going to Hakim Optical.”

“Awful experience. I came in for an eye exam, and the first thing I mentioned was that I primarily wear contacts and only wear glasses occasionally, so I need a new prescription for contacts as well as glasses. The man (I forget his name) proceeded to go through the eye exam and then wrote me a prescription that didn't have any of the required information on it (e.g. PD for glasses, astigmatism, etc., despite the fact that I have always had a slight astigmatism on my prescriptions). I asked him about it and he said he compensated for the astigmatism by raising the prescription (which I've since been told is not a correct way of handling astigmatism), and that I didn't need a PD measurement. I then asked whether the prescription would be any different for contacts, because I know from my past experiences that the contacts prescription is usually a bit less, and he said that in order to tell me, he would have to fit me for contacts. I thought it was strange that he was only mentioning this now, when I had initially said I needed a contacts prescription, but I said, "Okay," only to be told that he couldn't do it that day and I would have to come back another day and he would "only" charge me another $50 for the contacts fitting. So, my visit was essentially useless because I wear contact 99% of the time, like I had told him upfront. Needless to say, I didn't trust them after that, especially since he refused to put the proper measurements like PD on my prescription for my glasses and clearly hadn't listened to me in the first place, so I did not go back for the contacts fitting, and I would urge anyone else to stay away.”

He is very helpful and has excellent interpersonal skills that makes me feel I hit the very best deal available. “I typically have a hard time finding frames because I have a smaller head and preference for light frames, but I was able to find multiple frames here. Being able to find frames I liked and get everything done with their 2 frames discount was definitely the best value. I also use the computer all day so the blue light protection and anti-glare on the lenses, to put plainly, have changed my life. Very friendly staff at all this location. And honest with what frames looked good with my face shape or not, and which sunglasses had better coverage from the sun, which I really appreciated.”

“I have been purchasing glasses and contact lenses here for more than ten years. I always receive the best service from Maninder. She has great taste in picking the right frames to fit a face and is very patient and helpful. Ordering new contacts is easy and fast and you get a call back when they come in. I like how they're open till 7:00 so I have time to go after work. The optometrist next door in the same building is great too. When I had an issue with the lenses of my new glasses purchased last year, they were adjusted straight away.”
