“My wife and I recently visited this clinic, and they greeted us with a friendly approach. Doctor Theresa, the acupuncturist, is very knowledgeable, as is Kim, the massage therapist. They are great and knowledgeable people who will take care of your concerns. Also, if you have benefits, they bill directly to your benefits, so you won't pay much. “I visited Golden Heart Integrated Health Inc. for acupuncture treatment after experiencing foot pain. Initially, I called to inquire and schedule an appointment, and Teresa was the practitioner who assisted me. While the treatment did help reduce the pain in my feet, the overall experience left me feeling uncomfortable and pressured. From the very beginning, Teresa emphasized using all my insurance benefits and tried to book multiple future appointments for me. She also suggested that my partner come in for a check-up, despite this being unrelated to my initial issue. The session itself was relatively short but charged at full price, which felt unreasonable. When I requested a sick note during my first visit, I was told I could only receive it during my second treatment because she was “too busy” at the time. During my second visit, I received the note but was again encouraged to book more appointments, which felt overly pushy. After the second treatment, I decided I wasn’t comfortable continuing. I attempted to cancel via phone and email, but there was no response. Hours later, they called me back, and when I reiterated my wish to cancel, they questioned my decision and tried to persuade me to return to the clinic. This left me feeling like I was being pressured into using their services rather than being respected as a patient. While I appreciate the pain relief I experienced, the way they handled scheduling and communication made me feel more like a business opportunity than a valued client.”Read moreShow less
