We visted our good friend, Larry, today . All I can say is that Garden City Manor is an outstanding home. I have never met such friendly, helpful staff. What a positive experience. Thank you.

Everyone works so hard to make the home safe and enjoyable for all residents. The food is delicious.! The live entertainment is wonderful! The gardens and outdoor sitting areas are beautiful! Thank you Garden City Manor for taking such good care of my loved one.

My husband has been a resident for 3 months. The staff are incredible. They are like a team that makes us feel like family. My husband loves the food. He is doing well there. I am so appreciative of all their hard work and kind caring.

Disappointing Experience – Needs Serious Oversight This nursing home has serious issues with professionalism and quality of care. While I respect all cultures, the staff here is overwhelmingly from one ethnic group, and they often speak in a language most residents don’t understand. This creates a disconnect and leaves residents feeling isolated and confused. Staff behavior and work ethic often fall below professional standards. Schedules are changed without notice, favoritism is common, and resident care suffers as a result. It’s disheartening to see seniors treated without the warmth, dignity, and communication they deserve. Management needs to take accountability, promote diversity, and ensure staff are properly trained to meet the standards expected in Ontario. These residents deserve far better.

My mom was admitted almost a month ago, and was at the point of CRISIS because she didn't want to be alone at home any longer and she had alot of health issues which only PSW and RNs could assist. The PSWs from Paramed were not very helpful like those from CBI and very minimal assistance in comparison. She wanted to be admitted somewhere with care 24/7 with her required health needs. I was sceptical because of the reviews of GCM, but other than the facility being older and a bit out of date, the meals, service, activities and especially the staff are great. My mom is so pleased with everything and how much good care she is getting. She's not alone at night, she eats 3 meals with snacks in between, shower or sponge bath every day, ongoing daily activities and enjoys the constant staffs care she gets. Shes VERY HAPPY, don't let the "esthetics" of the building fool you! It's not all about the LOOK, it's about the CARE and STAFF.

Honestly, the pictures are historic and the rhetoric applies vaguely to the capable. This particulate home struggles to keep staff or any resemblance of an active lifestyle. The staff are doing their best but under the persisting conditions it is a daily struggle. There is no dementia care so don’t buy the line, be pro-active to the extreme, your turn is next.

My mother is 72 and has Dimensia. From the moment we had to bring her there, the treatment was amazing. I understand that the people who care for our elders and sick are the best and strongest in any profession. I have always observed kindness, patience, and positivity from the staff. Very engaging and always smiling. I hope they are rewarded for their attitude and work ethic. Thank you.

I felt very good about leaving my grandmother in the care of the very friendly staff there. Very clean facility. They provided our family with a free first meal to help my grandmother settle in comfortably, which I thought was a nice gesture. The food was actually very good; I have attached a picture of the fish meal I ate. Some staff have worked at this facility for over 20 years, a good sign that it treats its employees well. Let's hope it treats its patients just as well.

Extremely thankful to the continuing caring, diligent hard work the staff at Garden City Manor have done for our father, James. We highly recommend your services/facility and hope this helps others decide on where to have their family cared for in the future! :)
