“Extensive eye examination; each test and purpose carefully explained. On previous purchase of spectacles, offered a much more economical option to the frame I had originally chosen. Friendly and professional, including after-service.”

“A very pleasant experience . Dr. Janda is friendly , experienced and very competent . No time waster but I never felt rushed . The administrative staff is very pleasant and helpful as well . I travel from Steveston to go here and have done so for many years .”

“Yesterday, I picked up my new glasses. One pair of progressives for daily wear and one pair of reading glasses. It's only been one day, and I am pleased with both pair. They fit well, my vision is clear and they look nice! My examination went well, Dr T Leung was professional, confident, and provided answers to my questions. The support staff are fabulous! They know a lot. They're helpful and they all made me laugh, which I so appreciated. “Always try to avoid leaving negative reviews, but felt the need to leave the following to outline my experience for others. Scheduled appointment weeks ago and took a half day of vacation to attend appointment this afternoon. Should have known that this wasn't going to be a positive experience leading up to how this clinic manages communication with patients. Reception called numerous times, I imagine to confirm the appointment, but never bothered to leave a voicemail. I would always call back during my breaks and they'd never answer. Finally, I got through to them yesterday to confirm the appointment. I specifically asked if there was anything I needed to bring and went as far as asking if I should arrive early to complete any new patient forms, etc. I was told there was nothing needed. Arrive today and was greeted by reception (European girl), she asks if I have my healthcare number, I said no, as I didn't bring it with me, since I was told it wasn't required during the call the day prior. She proceeds to ask me if I can call someone, if I have photo, etc. I keep repeating that it's not possible to get that info at the moment and I that I didn't have enough time to go home and grab it, as I walked 30+ mins to the appointment, as I worked from home today. Not sure why this was so difficult for her to comprehend, but after 10 minutes of going back and forth, I asked to speak to a manager, she asks "Why, what for?" I replied, because we're clearly not communicating very well and you're not understanding what I'm stating (answer wasn't changing). So, she finally gets up to grab a female Asian coworker. I asked if she was a manager and she states, she is not. Immediately begins trying to further discuss MSP and I said I would happily pay whatever the eye exam/contact fee was. She also wasn't "hearing" me. So, I simply state that I was tired of going around in circles and if a manager wasn't going to be called, they could cancel my appointment and that I would take my business elsewhere. There was no response from her, just a blank stare, so I took her silence to indicate she was done and so was our interaction. As someone who previously worked retail when they were younger and who currently interacts with clients from all across Canada, I would never behave the way either of these employees did. Especially considering I was attempting to become a new patient of theirs. After reading other reviews, it's clear that the actual doctors are well liked and professional. But, reception and who I assume was a sales person (Asian girl) don't seem to care about how they represent the brand or clinic.”Read moreShow less

“What a pleasant optometry experience! Dr. Kang was extremely patient and skilled - she genuinely cares for the eye health of her patients. After the eye exam, it was a seamless, no pressure transition to the showroom that had a very lovely selection. Staff is knowledgeable and ready with excellent advice regarding frames and lens options, fit and function.
