“I went in for my 2 year eye appointment on April 21, 2026. I was welcomed by wonderful front end staff. They were very friendly, kind, helpful and extremely efficient at welcoming me for my appointment. I was then greeted by another assistant who took me through all the different machines for checking my eyes. She took the time to let me know exactly what was going to happen and why and how this was important for my eye health. Very knowledgeable and I was so happy to learn more about how today our eye tests are so much more helpful and efficient to determine the health of our eyes. I then met with Dr. Nielsen who is an absolutely exceptional doctor. She as well explained everything that is going on with my vision, gave wonderful advice and also told me I had a blocked tear duct which she ever so gently helped to unblock it. I never felt rushed and Dr. Nielsen took the time to make sure my eye health was perfect. My entire experience from start to finish was phenomenal. I highly recommend FYI Doctors in Truro. They certainly make you feel welcome, are extremely professional and when you leave you feel like you have had excellent care (sometimes in our health care systems today this can be rare). “Have always had a great experience with FYi Doctors. They’re always very attentive and knowledgeable, as well as very friendly, positive and professional. I recently went for an appointment, and found out I had dry eye, and the eye doctor gave me lots of helpful tips on how to manage it, as well as giving me a bunch of sample testers to find the right drops for me. “It’s a nice clinic with attentive, friendly and pleasant people. I had Dr. Kathleen MacDonald, she was professional, friendly, gentle and informative. “Been going to them for years for eye appointments and glasses, never a problem. Contacts are another issue, so the rating is for contact service only. We have been on a frustrating journey of not being called when contacts are in, having to go in personally requesting they look for them. In December a new contact prescription was ordered, no one called. Went in a few weeks ago asking for the new contact, was given an old previous prescription, went back in to tell them the error, they went on the hunt again to look for the new contact and was told the wrong one must have been ordered.
