“From the moment I checked in at reception until the eye appointment ended, the staff were courteous, knowledgeable and answered all my questions without hesitation. For me, the eye exam was the most extensive exam I have had in the last six years. I appreciated the explanations and pictures of my eyes, showing and telling exactly what was happening. I felt free to ask questions at anytime during the examination. I felt respected and not at all pressured to buy products or new glasses right away. I was given the assurance that if I had questions to call the office for assistance. I would highly recommend Dr. Cindy Shum and staff at the FYI office in Burnaby.”

“I was a longtime FYidoctors patient before moving, and after two disappointing experiences at another clinic closer to home, I decided to return to FYidoctors. The Hastings Street location in Burnaby was nearest to me, and that’s where I met Dr. Cindy Shum. From my very first visit, I knew I had made the right decision. She provided one of the most thorough eye exams I’ve ever had, and I left with an accurate prescription and complete confidence in her care. When I noticed changes in my vision a several months later, I returned for another exam. Dr. Shum was, once again, kind, welcoming, and exceptionally clear in her explanations. It’s evident that she genuinely cares about her patients and always has their best interests in mind. Before my appointment, I was greeted by Susan, whose friendliness immediately stood out. Although I originally planned to leave with just my prescription, her professionalism and expertise encouraged me to explore new frames. She has a remarkable talent for choosing styles that suit both face shape and personality. Thanks to her guidance, I now have two pairs of glasses currently in production.
