Everyone was very kind and professional. I felt each person I saw was attentive and genuinely interested in helping me resolve my issues with my sight. I highly recommend the folks at the Broadway and Birch office, now, my go to clinic!

Our family has been going to FYI Doctors for 30 years, and we have always had great service: they are thorough, kind, patient with the kids, and practical with helping us find the right pair of glasses to fit our budget. I saw Dr Leung yesterday and really appreciated how he explained all the various tests he and the technician were doing. I am confident in my prescription, and relieved that Dr Leung checked the entire surface of my eye, including the cornea, retina, and macula as well as the optic nerve. As part of my check up, the optometrist checks for cataracts, macular degeneration and glaucoma so I will be prepared if anything needs to be addressed. I highly recommend FYI Doctors for your optometry needs!

I absolutely love this clinic and Dr. Janda. Everyone is kind, welcoming and attentive. I can’t say enough about Dr. Janda. She’s down to earth and so much fun. She explains everything to you and makes you understand everything properly. Couldn’t recommend this clinic enough!

We just moved to Vancouver, and while we were looking for an eye doctor, we were referred to Tanya Short at FYI on Broadway for our yearly eye exam. They have the latest equipment. From start to finish, all staff were professional and friendly, explaining each step of the exam clearly. Tanya was especially informative and helpful, and we left feeling confident in the care we received.

The team at FYI is amazing. The front staff were kind and patient. They got my little one in same day with an eye emergency. The care team and doctors were fantastic, they told me their evaluation in a means I could understand every step of the was. My little one was terrified and they patiently worked her through the exam by the end she said “that was fun!”

Wow, what an awesome experience! I didn’t know what to expect. I was kind of nervous and soon as I walked in, I was met with smiles all around, and exemplary customer service. Just an overall great experience. Please note I want to say that Johnny was fantastic with is help and recommendations and also Dr. Thomas was kind, patient and helpful. I have to pick up my new glasses in a few days and I am excited for another great customer experience.

The customer service experience I had with FYI Broadway was simply amazing! I had to have a pair of progressive glasses re-made because the original prescription was too strong and from the manager, to the eye Dr, to the glasses tech to the front desk, my experience was so good and their team went above and beyond, I couldn't be more thankful and appreciative of the service!

I am incredibly frustrated by the complete lack of transparency in their customer service at this location. I have chronic headaches and spent an enormous amount of money on a private specialist before bringing my prescription here. During my 30-minute in-person appointment, the associate explicitly recommended to my mother and me that we purchase the extra insurance because it would cover "all scenarios," specifically if the glasses were misplaced or stolen while traveling (because we had specifically brought up this up in the appointment as a concern). I had a great time picking out my glasses and they did aid my headaches. When my glasses were misplaced/taken on a train ride from university, I wasn't as worried because I trusted what we were told. Now, after calling in, I am being told it isn't covered. I understand and respect that you have policies in place for these situations, however, it feels like the staff is completely refusing to acknowledge their part in this. They just kept pushing responsibility onto me, saying I should have read the fine print on the website. Why would I not believe the direct, in-person advice and claims of the associate selling me the product? This feels incredibly deceptive. We were sold on false pretence.

Over time, I’ve purchased a wide range of eyewear—from progressive lenses to sunglasses and reading glasses—and every pair has been excellent in both quality and fit. The experience is outstanding from start to finish. From selecting frames and customizing lenses to the final pickup, the team is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about getting things right. I’ve primarily worked with Johnny, and his customer service truly stands out. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything meets expectations. For example, when I was searching for specialized progressive lenses for pickleball, my first pair had some distortion issues during play. Without hesitation, they remade the lenses using a different approach, and the result was perfect—no hassle at all. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for high-quality eyewear and exceptional service. It’s always a pleasure working with Johnny, whose upbeat personality and dedication to customers make every visit enjoyable.

Not Happy with the service at all - felt ripped off. After seeing the Doctor to check my eyes, and getting a prescription for Progressive glasses - I didn’t buy their glasses and went to another optical store and bought the lenses with their prescription, it cost $420 but didn’t seem to work for my eyes. I’d worked with the store and tried the glasses for a few months but I felt nauseous, dizzy and even headache; eventually they told me to go back to see the Doctor who gave me the prescription. I went to FYI’s Broadway location, talked to them and ordered a brand new pair of glasses from them - cost me about $730. Same issues happened, I can’t wear the glasses without feeling headache, dizzy, and want to vomit after every 15 minutes. They let me check my eyes again with the same Doctor as the first time, who was a nice person, he said he had some other clients with the same symptoms. He explained it was because my brain doesn’t accept the Progressive glasses, then he gave me new a new pair of such glasses, he gave me his new prescription and told me I should try it, changing lenses would cost me another $300. But a staff in his office told me they were NOT SURE can if changing lenses would solve my problem. So I refunded my glasses and got $730 back. But now I still have my other $420 pair that’s basically useless now. Seemed like my own problem? Or they should do something about that? I wouldn’t have spent those money if it wasn’t for their prescription. It was an extremely tiring and exhausting experience of having to coming to optical stores and their offices just to be able to see things.
