Dante Janik and Cole Layden are not your garden variety health practitioners. They are the real deal. I started treatments with Dante last week. His approach to massage is an active union between patient and therapist. Graston, cupping combined with yoga poses, stretches. LOTS of involved movement. Chiro with Cole is also beyond anything I’ve experienced. Active release, dry needling with IMS, graston, movement. But not before a thorough analysis of the body, and goals. Pain management is not the only goal. I even got to do squats with a hockey stick. 🏒 🙂‍↕️ It’s fun, too. I finally feel like my body is being listened to, which greatly enhances my mind/body connection. I have deeply stiff shoulders, traps, neck etc. If you are serious about healing any musculoskeletal issues, go straight to Functional Edge. I’ve never felt so confident that my shoulder and neck issues can be healed. I’m also going to look into personal training (which is on site) on my healing journey. They even play great music which is so different than the average clinic. Have a go, your body will thank you. 💪

I’ve had a great experience seeing Dante for treatment. He is not the type of therapist who just does a general massage and sends you on your way. He takes the time to assess what is actually going on, looks at how the body is moving, and explains things in a way that makes sense. His treatments feel very intentional and science-based. You can tell he has a strong background in anatomy, movement, and clinical reasoning, and he uses that to figure out the root cause instead of only chasing tightness or short-term relief. He blends massage therapy with a more osteopathic-style approach, looking at how everything connects rather than just treating one painful area. What stood out the most is how much effort he puts into his craft. He genuinely cares about helping people move better, feel better, and understand what is contributing to their issue. Very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for real treatment, not just a basic massage.

I’m so happy I found Dante! From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable and well cared for. He took the time to listen to my concerns and tailored the treatment to exactly what I needed. His knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail really stand out. I left feeling significantly better, with less pain, improved mobility, and a level of relaxation I hadn’t felt in a long time. It’s not easy to find a therapist who is both skilled and genuinely invested in helping their clients, but Dante is exactly that. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality massage therapy. I’ll definitely be back!

I can’t recommend Dante enough. As a massage therapist, he’s honestly on another level. His knowledge of the body and the way he applies his techniques make a huge difference, especially for athletes or anyone dealing with sports-related injuries. What really stands out is how targeted and effective his work is. He doesn’t just go through the motions, he actually identifies the root of the problem and works it out with advanced techniques that genuinely help with recovery and performance. You can tell he takes his craft seriously. If you’re dealing with muscle pain, injuries, or just want someone who knows exactly what they’re doing, Dante is the best. I’ve seen firsthand how much he helps people feel and move better.

I chose Functional Edge a year ago for continued chiropractic care when I started working on the west end. Cole immediately found the cause of my foot pain. Following his recommended exercises it resolved within two months, after years of suffering. He’s continued with a great treatment plan for a recalcitrant golfers elbow, which is improving slowly but steadily. I started training with Dana two weeks ago. So far the plan is challenging but doable! Looking forward to working more with him.

I’ve been struggling with neck pain for three years and decided to try this clinic. After just a few sessions with Dr. Cole Layden, I feel a lot more mobility and have hope that I can get full functionality back! His combination of techniques along with his physio therapy is highly recommended.

I was very impressed by Dr. Kristopher and his approach to health and wellness. His explanation of how the body is connected through the nervous system and the spine was explicit and clear. I look forward to learning about what he can do to help my body recover and heal its root causes of pain and discomfort.

In 2006 well tobogganing, I had an accident which resulted in a compression fracture to my mid back. For years I have taken pain medication and felt like this was just my future. I began seeing Cole last year and quickly I noticed changes with his treatments and exercises. I am now very close to pain free which is so exciting. It has changed my life. He is personable and listens to my concerns. When I go for my half hour treatment I am getting my full half hour with cupping and needling as well as needed with my adjustments. I am very impressed and thankful.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Cole. He truly treats the cause, not just the symptoms, which makes such a difference in long-term results. He always takes the time to listen, explain what’s going on, and never makes you feel rushed. What really sets Dr. Cole apart is that he doesn’t just adjust you and send you on your way—he provides practical exercises and guidance so you can maintain functionality and keep improving between visits. It feels like real care, not a quick fix. If you’re looking for a chiropractor who is knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely invested in your health, I highly recommend Dr. Cole!

After my experience at Functional Edge. I highly recommend Cole for your Chiropractic needs. Coles commitment on helping you heal extends past his office doors. His expertise is very noticeable when it comes to his knowledge and understanding. He does a great evaluation process in which he can properly assess any issues that you may have. He explains everything so you understand exactly what he is trying to accomplish. The thing I found most refreshing is the fact that he is the person performing the exercises in most of the videos not just a generic video off the internet
