“First time coming for an eye exam with Dr. Melissa Yuen! I had arrived 15-20 minutes before my scheduled eye exam, and immediately I was greeted politely and warmly by the receptionist. The process between my arrival and towards end of my appointment was amazing, fast and smooth! Melissa was very nice. She is very knowledgable and performed a very thorough eye exam. She was nice and answered all the questions that I had. Would definitely recommend her for an eye exam! The cost of the eye exam is what had originally made me come across this location. $95 for an exam is a price you cannot beat especially since its downtown. “In the past, I’ve always seen the eye doctor here and I’ve bought glasses and contacts in the store a few times in past years. I won’t be returning. I went this time to ask to have a pair of glasses quickly adjusted, which I had purchased from the Clearly website. When I walked in I explained this to the staff and the man said accusingly “those aren’t Clearly glasses.” I explained that they weren’t clearly’s own brand, but I had purchased them on the website. He said, “we have nothing to do with Clearly, we are a separate store called ‘For Eyes’.” Me: “Your sign says ‘For Eyes by Clearly’.” Man: “Oh, that means nothing.” I guess they just want to use clearly’s name recognition and not actually help or keep their customers coming back. It seemed that they did not want to help me. After making me sign a waiver, another staff member quickly adjusted the glasses just by bending the frames with their hands. I’ve never been treated that way when asking to have glasses adjusted anywhere, as it’s usually seen, at least I thought, as a business development opportunity. “Getting a 2 star because the staff are nice. However, the glasses themselves are subpar. My first set of sunglasses had to be re-made because the polarized coating was faulty and the prescription was off. The second set continues to have some mild polarization issues and the prescription doesn’t feel quite right. When I asked about a refund, they said they would call me back, but still haven’t. For the minimal amount you save over a regular local business, I say shopping here isn’t worth it.”Read moreShow less

“I am so disappointed with these glasses. I rarely use them but when i do, I get 2-3 uses before the screws fall out. Ever since I got them, I have had to replace/tighten the screw multiple times. The second time I called and they replaced it with a silver screw which is a mismatch to the rose gold frame. Third time, I emailed requesting for frame replacement but they just changed the screw again. Last week, the other side's screw fell off at the beginning of a movie in the theater so I had to squint the entire time. I need replacement glasses but I am tired of having to go back in the store for them to tighten or replace the screw.”Read moreShow less

“I had a great experience at For Eyes by clearly! I recently purchased my glasses from here, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Ashmit was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient throughout the entire process. He took the time to understand my needs, helped me choose the right frames, and explained everything clearly without rushing me. His recommendations were spot on, and I’m really happy with how my glasses turned out. The rest of the staff were also very welcoming, friendly, and professional. “Staff are so friendly and professional. I got my eyes examined by Dr. Yuen. She was patient and explained everything. Staff helped choose the right glasses. Staffs name was Gulam. Great experience 10 out 10.”

“The store had an incredible promotion for an eye exam and glasses, so it was quite busy. I was not expecting top level service with such volume, but wow I was wrong. Not only was my eye exam the most thorough one I've ever had. I never once felt rushed or unattended to. Soni was my main point of contact and she made me feel completely at ease. We went over all my options until we found something I was not only comfortable with but also felt happy to wear. The whole team there is wonderful.
