Disappointment is one word I could use for the treatment given. My husband and I were out right lied to after close to 8 hour wait in the emergency department. Was told home care would be happening a.s.a.p. To find out the Dr. didn’t even put in an order. The wait for a patient that had surgery earlier in the day was inhumane….a Parkinson’s patient missing meds and returning to emergency for help of a complication that arose. Nothing mattered…the person (patient) did not matter. After hearing from Canada home and health calling me back telling the Dr. didn’t give the order. The nurse sent us home with the instructions that there will be help daily. An out right lie. The hospital was filthy and emergency room was filthy. No one cared. People did not matter…I witnessed a 96 year old woman who fell and could not walk, wait 7 hours…I actually watch a woman turn jaundice the board on the wall said 3hrs 35min wait then went to 6 hours then went to 7 hours then went to 8 hours. I saw people taking pictures of this information all while hoping they could help my husband. I was ashamed on this hospital and will take this further because of the hope given that will never come. Yes lawyers are expensive but this was down right disgusting!

Absolutely amazing news—Dad has come through surgery, and it truly could not have gone any better. The outcome was the best-case scenario, and we are beyond grateful. He has been incredibly blessed to be in the hands of such talented surgeons, nurses, and healthcare professionals whose skill, compassion, and dedication made all the difference. Our family cannot thank them enough. There are still a few days of recovery ahead, but if there's one thing I know about my father, it's that he never quits. His strength, determination, and fighting spirit continue to inspire all of us. Today, our hearts are filled with gratitude and hope.

Went to the emergency department last night with a Crohn's flare up. The doctor was trying to discharge me from the ER in only 4 hours. I didn't even have enough IV fluid in me yet and was still very dehydrated and in severe pain. Maybe they should make sure their patients can keep fluids down before discharging them! I couldn't and despite me telling them that was sent home anyways.

I can’t say enough good things about the care I received. From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. A special thank you to Emily from the Mammogram Department, along with her colleague (who was pregnant—I’m so sorry I didn’t catch your name). You both were incredibly kind, gentle, and reassuring, which made a situation that could have been stressful feel much more comfortable and calm. The doctors in the Radiology Department were professional, attentive, and took the time to ensure everything was handled thoroughly and with care. I truly felt like I was in good hands. To the OR team—both the doctors and nurses—thank you for making what could have been a nerve-wracking experience feel smooth, pain-free, and even comforting. Your compassion and skill did not go unnoticed. And a very special thank you to my surgeon, Dr. Ali. Your expertise, kindness, and dedication are truly remarkable. The level of care I received was second to none, and I am incredibly grateful. Every single person I encountered treated me with respect, empathy, and professionalism. It made all the difference, and I will always remember how well I was cared for. Janet Khorsha

I had a hysterectomy on April 10th at Erie Shore Hospital in Lemington,ON and I have to say that I had the absolute best experience and care anyone could ask for. Health care in Ontario is in most cases absolute terrible and I was a little nervous having a major surgery at a hospital that was 3hrs away from home, but my concerns were gone from the moment I was registered. My OBGYN Dr. Ada-Conde( based out of Oakville/Georgetown)is a fantastic doctor and his staff and very friendly and do treat all patients with respect. I had great nurse care from my pre-op, to after surgery care. I was admitted for 2 days and had wonderful care, any questions I had were answered and made me feel more comfortable. I had a follow up phone call from Erie shore hospital two weeks after my procedure and expressed how impressed I was with the hospital as well as the staff. I hope i won't be needing any further surgeries, but if I was able to choose a hospital in Ontario it would definitely be Erie Shore Health center. Thank you to all the staff.

As a retired nurse, I was very impressed. Prompt emergency care, diagnostic testing and emergency surgery. Fabulous nurses, surgeon, anesthesiologist. Overall excellent experience. I was at the same Emergency a couple of years ago and had the same great experience. Very thankful for Ontario Healthcare.

This was my first time visiting Erie Shores Health Care, and it was a very pleasant experience . When walking into the ER, we were greeted by a lovely and kind woman who guided us to where we needed to be. (I have never experienced this at any hospital) The triage staff were very friendly. The nursing staff and Doctor were attentive and checked in on me many times while I waited to have tests done. When you're in pain, empathy and compassion go a long way. It was greatly appreciated.

My husband was recently brought into Erie Lakeshore Hospital by ambulance and from the Paramedics to the complete hospital staff were absolutely incredible....The entire experience was professional, caring and so patient and knowledgable. That is the #1 hospital if needed.......( Wating times were very minimal and the Drs. and staff were on top of everything )....26/01/19
