“I’ve had right heel pain for over 10 years. It’s been a consistent burning pain with occasional sharp pain. Recently, it got worse — especially when walking or putting pressure on it. Sometimes I didn’t even want to step on it, and I started to walk with a slight limp. I used to play pickleball regularly, but because of the pain, I had to stop for quite some time. I also couldn’t do other activities anymore. It really took away a big part of the joy in my daily life and started to affect my lifestyle. After just one acupuncture treatment with Dr. Zou at En Yang Acupuncture Clinic in Edmonton, I noticed a significant improvement. Walking felt much easier, and I could step more normally without as much pain. The result was better than I expected. I’m currently working out of town, but once I’m back in Edmonton, I will definitely continue treatment with Dr. Zou to keep improving. Dr. Zou is very attentive and takes the time to understand my condition. Her treatment is precise and effective. “I went to see Dr. Alisa Zou with severe intercostal muscle and rib pain as well as chronic migraines. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean, calm, and welcoming the clinic felt. Dr. Zou herself is incredibly friendly, gentle, and knowledgeable, which immediately put me at ease. One thing that really sets Dr. Zou apart is that she doesn’t just treat the symptoms, she takes the time to explain how different body functions are interconnected and how they relate to the pain you’re experiencing. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about her patients’ overall well‑being and puts in every effort to ensure you leave feeling better than when you arrived. I was amazed that after my very first appointment, my migraine was completely gone. Normally, the only thing that helps is sleeping it off, and even then I usually still have to deal with the postdrome. This time, I walked out with a totally clear mind and no lingering effects at all. I’ve now had three sessions for my stubborn intercostal muscle pain. While I’m not 100% yet, I can absolutely feel the difference and I’m confident that full recovery is on its way, something I credit entirely to Dr. Zou’s skill and care. “Dr. Alisa Zou is amazing! She is incredibly friendly, patient, and truly cares about her patients. I came in with really bad pain in my arm and shoulder and had trouble lifting my arm at all. After just the first two acupuncture treatments, I already noticed a huge improvement. The pain decreased a lot and my range of motion improved more than I expected.
