“Extremely rude receptionist. I was not informed before treatment that I would have to pay out of pocket and that what was charged would not be covered under my insurance. My insurance states 100% coverage for the treatment and when I asked to clarify, she was very fierce and rude, shutting me down. Extremely unprofessional and completely ruined my day. I’ve also had to travel the extra distance to go to another clinic location as there was a fire in their old one - the scheduling process was unpleasant with this same receptionist. “I had my first cleaning and check in today. The team is the most welcoming team I have met. Big shoutout for making someone who’s generally terrified of dentist feel welcome, safe and listen. Definitely will be returning!”

“rude receptionist working Nov. 20 2025 tried phoning, they picked up the phone and didn’t say hello. hung up. i phoned back and the lady was SO condescending. will be contacting the BBB. if the owner is reading this - pls consider firing this receptionist.”

“Seeing Dr Herbert Liu. I am a nervous mess around dentist and it’s a me problem, but Dr Liu and Assistant make me feel so comfortable and allow me to take breaks and go bathroom if I need it. I get cramps from laying in my back, I have many health conditions but they find a way to work with me. Also his work is quick as possible and really good at it, never felt pressured into doing extra work or on the spot work, always am very clear on what I want done and what can wait. “I've been going to East Village Dental Centre since it was just 1 young dentist, Dr. M.M.C. Hui. That was MANY years ago. His skill and gentle manner always impressed me. Now his daughter, Dr. Melinda Ho, has become my dentist since his retirement and has carried on in his style.
