“I had such a wonderful experience with Nas and Taban at Dumalo Eye in North Vancouver that I felt I needed to share. Yesterday, I was on my way to see a client when my phone died. I didn’t have the address memorized, I was already running late, and honestly, I was feeling really stressed and frustrated. I ended up parking in front of their office just trying to figure out what to do next. That’s when Nas and Taban stepped in like absolute angels. They welcomed me so warmly and respectfully, and without hesitation, helped me charge my phone so I could get back on track. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help someone in a tough moment truly amazed me. “If I could leave more stars I would! I was fortunate enough to call, speak with Krystal (apologize I don't know the correct spelling) snd book a same day appointment with Dr. Regan Huynh. I was warmly welcomed both on the phone and in person. Every step of my visit was clearly explained before any examinations took place which I greatly appreciated. Finances are a concern for me; they truly went above and beyond to ensure that I was able to have my eye healthy taken care of without any judgement. “My eye exam with Dr. Regan was comprehensive and thorough. She was unhurried in explaining when she took questions from me. I felt totally at ease. When i exited the examination room, I was greeted by Taban promptly. As I always had difficulty in choosing the best spectacle frame to complement my facial features, Taban stepped in and guided me through the process. She just knows what to pick! “What fantastic service! This is my previous optometry clinic prior to moving out of North Vancouver several years ago. While back in town visiting, I was experiencing swelling of my left eyelid and blurred vision. They fit me in that day, tested my eyes as necessary, wrote a prescription and just like that, I was all better on a few days. “One star bc they claim they have implemented contact tracing yet collect no phone numbers or email or any form of contact (just arbitrary names)!! Also, the guy helping me pick frames would suddenly and with no notice charge his hands over (literally) to move the glasses sitting on my face to "adjust" them!!? This is during a global pandemic and with no regard for social distancing or basic manners! Even after telling him to just let me know if he thinks i need to adjust how glasses sit on my face, he again moved in to move the frame at which point I had to walk backwards and tell him to stop! Overall. Unprofessional business practices all over. Including the frames sales rep guy coming in to talk to talk in open with the owner (mrs. dumalo senior) and they kept talking about how this frame and that frame is an "easy peasy sell and will up your profit by alot"! Last thing, their business hours are not updated on their google profile (claim they are open until 7:30 on some week days but had to commute all the way there at least two times only to find them closed!) Id say give Davinci glasses a shot if youre in the area just off lonsdale and 15th (much better customer treatment and full covid protocol in place).”Read moreShow less
