“I can't recommend Dr. Eltis highly enough. From the moment you walk in, you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. He is incredibly empathetic, takes the time to listen, and never makes you feel rushed during your appointment. He always explains everything clearly and offers thoughtful tips and suggestions to help you take the best possible care of your eyes. What truly sets him apart is his dedication to his patients. When I was experiencing a frightening issue related to my narrow-angle glaucoma, he didn't hesitate to offer to come in outside of regular office hours to examine my eyes and make sure everything was okay. That level of compassion and commitment is very rare these days and meant so much to me during a very stressful time. He consistently goes above and beyond, and his patience, professionalism, and genuine concern for his patients are exceptional. “I am a new patient with Dr Eltis. So, my review is early days, but my first visit introduction was so positive, I’m writing review part I . I have a number of concerns with my vision which includes a less-than-optimal heredity and some odd, less common symptoms. He is very thorough having used numerous tests, the likes of many I have not undergone before. It leaves me with appreciation and optimism. He listens well and does his best to explain well, to make sure he’s been understood. The listening includes a willingness to try a conservative approach. I particularly like that he is also open to other types of eye health support. He was generous in offering the possibility of a second opinion and quick with a referral to a retinal specialist. He has even initiated two calls outside clinic hours to check in. And if you tell him you are jittery, he has compassion for that too. And that! Is just at the beginning.”Read moreShow less

“I am reviewing my first visit to Dr Eltis. I saw him because my long time optometrist is no longer available and I was looking for another vision care specialist. I was very impressed with Dr Eltis’ thoroughness and the time he took to carefully assess and explain his findings. His office is well equipped and his staff are pleasant and professional. “I went to Dr. Eltis as someone extremely anxious about his overall eye health. Fears of increased floaters, retinal tears, and everything. Dr. Eltis made sure to address every single one of my concerns, took his time to all the needed comprehensive tests, and the attention to detail and how he explain everything was amazing! He also made himself fully available if I had any concerns in the future. I walked out of the clinic feeling 1000x better than when I walked into it, and now practically refuse to go see anyone else for my eyes. “Super impressed in all aspects of my emergency visit! I feared I had retinal injury and was extremely worried. “I have been seeing Dr Eltis for over five years. First it was for a second opinion on my cataract diagnosis but more currently I see him for regular, in-depth eye exams. Dr Eltis is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy and accessible. The information I receive from him is by far more detailed than what I get from my always rushed ophthalmologist at UHN.
