“My boyfriend's mom has been in the hospital for 2 months now. On multiple occasions they've left her for over 6 hours without taking her to the bathroom. She can't go on her own. The attending physician has called my boyfriend/his sister a total of ONE time and have given us literally no information on her condition, medications she's taking, and every nurse I ask has a different answer. On top of that, my boyfriend's father passed away while in the hospitals care last month and no one has reached out to explain what he was sick with, what ended up killing him, even who the doctor that treated him is. As for my partner's mom, we've reached out to patient complaints department and received one very half assed call giving us slightly more info but still nothing about her medication, care, requirements for release etc. So this review stands. My partner's mom should be improving if what they say about her condition and care are correct but she is declining and more out of it by the day. If she doesn't make it, I firmly believe the responsibility will be with this hospital and it's uncaring staff. To treat someone who's gone through absolute hell like this when you're supposed to be a healthcare professional is beyond me.”Read moreShow less

“On may 24 2026, what was a scary and trying time for myself became , I don't want to say stress free, because it was still scary. But instead of holding on to the stress the wonderful staff helped me to laugh and realize that I could make a full recovery. So thank you all who worked that day. And special shout out to nurse John who had me laughing as I walked out. Thanks.”Read moreShow less

“Was visiting from out of province. Went in with possible asthma attack, pneumonia and hard to breathe. LPN and triage folks were great but the wait was horrific. Went in at 7pm, by 11pm I was 11th on the list to be seen. By midnight I was 10th. By 430am I was 7th. Obviously they didn't think it was any sort of priority so I left. I watched one go in ahead of me ... with a sore foot. 6hrs layer I'm wheezing, coughing and trying hard to breath wondering what I'm supposed to do now.”Read moreShow less

“What is happening in the emergency department at Fredericton Hospital is not just poor service — it is a serious failure in patient care. After more than 8 hours of waiting, there was no proper evaluation, no follow-up, and no clear communication. This is not “high demand”; this is disorganization. The attitude of part of the medical staff is deeply concerning: lack of empathy, poor communication, and behavior that does not belong in a healthcare setting. When someone comes to the emergency room, they are not only seeking clinical care, they need basic human decency. That is not what is being experienced here. The management of the service is even more alarming: shift changes with no continuity, lack of visible supervision, and a constant sense that no one is actually in charge. A critical area like emergency care cannot operate like this. What is most frustrating is that, based on multiple similar experiences, this does not appear to be an isolated case or something that is being corrected. When there are no visible responses or improvements, trust in the system breaks down completely.”Read moreShow less

“Do not go here unless it is your absolute last resort. A veterinarian clinic would be a better choice. Worst care I have ever experienced when our 12 year old son was admitted in an emergency situation. No one in the emergency department knew what they were doing and continuously blamed other staff for the shortcomings. Unprofessional, and downright scary. Felt like an 3rd world country. Avoid! Update- upon receiving follow-up care at the IWK, the doctors determined that the Orthopedic surgeon in Fredericton did not set our son's leg properly before improperly casting it. He had to undergo surgery with internal fixation that wouldn't have been necessary if he had received proper care in Fredericton. There should be a standard of care that is universal in this Country. Canadians deserve better. Luckily this was a leg and not something life threatening.”Read moreShow less

“Waiting room times are horrible. Most of the nurses and staff are super insensitive. Nothing but trauma and horrible times at this place and nobody there makes it better poorly managed They are so quick to shove you out or dismiss your problems. They literally couldn’t care less worse hospital in all of New Brunswick.”Read moreShow less

“Worst hospital I've ever been to. I got into a car crash not wearing a seatbelt and was badly concussed. After I got there, I don't remember if they even called me to get registered. On top of that, I had five different people ask if I was on drugs over and over. I kept telling them I do not do that. After eight to ten hours of waiting, I got to see a doctor, and all this "doctor" did was feel the bump on my head and give me a note. No head scans after I kept telling them I was in a car accident. Unbelievable behaviour from the staff and doctor I got.”Read moreShow less
