I went for months and did not make progress, and I actually regressed. I finally switched to a different office entirely with a new physio who specialized in post-surgical recovery, and he re-evaluated me and found an injury that had been missed for months by my first physio which had been causing me life-altering chronic pain (SI joint). I got an SI belt on his advice and THAT DAY I was able to reduce my pain meds, and from there I made steady progress with a completely different program and set of exercises. I was upset about this for a long time, and I felt very let down by the dockside physio I was relying on. I wish he had admitted he was out of ideas months earlier. I wasted 6 months recovery time with this office. If a client is not progressing, they should have re-evaluated or referred me along, not waited for me to get so discouraged with them personally that I finally sought a second opinion. I think if you have a run of the mill issue, without complications, this can be a great office. The people were kind. If you happen to stall out in your progress, if your issue is complex, if you're recovering from a surgery or you had an accident / traumatic injury, consider that physiotherapists can vary widely in their specialties and some physios take a lot of additional training. I don't understand why the person I was seeing at dockside didn't recognize I had an SI joint injury which was causing severe pain for months, and I don't understand why he never took the initiative to do the simple tests my second physio did to quickly find the injury.

Shawna was incredible for pelvic floor physio. I saw her prenatal and post partum and highly recommend. She absolutely made a difference in the positive birth experience I had with her birth prep. She is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy and also so kind and gentle.

Roman was absolutely awesome. He's got a great energy - he's calm, super knowledgeable and patient. I went for some shoulder stuff and the education he provided about the injury was invaluable, and the exercises he showed me have improved my range of motion.

I threw my back for the second time, and I was so fortunate a friend recommended Dockside to me when it happened. The first time I hurt my back, it was a slow and painful recovery. This time, Evan so kindly saw me the same day and I attribute 100% my amazingly quick recovery to his care and expertise. On top of that, his team at the front desk is incredibly welcoming and kind. Highly recommend!

I have had a great experience with Dockside Physio. Specifically, Shawna has been amazing. I have seen her for pelvic floor issues as well as joint injuries, and she has handled both with professionalism, respect, and care. She is gentle, explains everything, and takes the time to listen to what I have to say. She gives great at-home guidance and makes changes when necessary. It's clear that her priority is my wellness. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

An expert triathlon bike fit from Evan at Dockside Physio. The 150min bike fit was thorough and detailed, paying attention to all aspects of the fit from saddle, to front end, to cleat position. Evan was super prepared, even reviewing my bike's manual before our appointment so he would know how to make adjustments. Evan is also a cyclist himself who knows the nuances of riding and racing. I would highly recommend this bike fit for anyone in competitive cycling or triathlon.

My wife who has early onset dementia along with a body movement disorder (LBD), had been struggling with balance in concert with vertigo type symptoms for quite some time. It was getting worse when she got up or down from sitting or laying as well as bending down. We weren't sure if this was from the progression of the disease or something else. We made appointment with Nina Bai at Dockside Physio see if Vestibular Therapy would help. Nina was very thorough upon her examination and took the extra time to explain to both my wife and me what she was doing and why. Nina was very gentle and showed outstanding skills in navigating my wife's dementia during her examination and treatment. It was amazing that my wife experienced only a few minor symptoms the following week. Our second appointment and treatment a week later resulted the elimination of the vertigo symptoms. A final appointment the next week confirmed the this being cleared up and we received some great exercises to improve her postural stability. Thank you Dockside Physio and especially Nina!!

I am skeptical about almost everything, but Dockside and Mary-Anne made a believer out of me ! I hadn't been to a physiotherapist in over 30 years, but the arthritis and plantar fasciitis in my foot was making life difficult, so Dockside was recommended to me by a co-worker. The results have been amazing. I am so appreciative of the help I've received, and everyone I've met there has been professional, friendly, and helpful. A huge thank you to Mary-Anne, and also to Kim an Cameron at the front for their courtesy and patience. Go see these fine people, you will not regret it. -Tony.

I went soon after Dockside Physio opened b/c I lived and worked by them. I also liked what they stand and how important community is to them. Evan is awesome...professional, listens (and remembers), and being active himself, he understands things from an exercise physiology standpoint as well as a physical anatomy view...which is important for me. I haven't needed his services for a while but will go out of my way to recommend him and his clinic to anyone I cross paths with. And I understand he has assembled quite the team there over the past couple year and he's able to branch out and offer services and specialties he wasn't able to offer when he was first starting out. I cannot recommend highly enough and feel very lucky that him and his team are in Vic West like me!
