The staff were nothing but outstanding taking care of my mom and all of her needs. My mom passed away April 2, 2025. I can’t say enough of how well they care about the Residents. The staff are genuine people and if you are looking for a great place for a family member, Dearness is the Place.

Staff try their absolute best here, and it is one of the best places in the city, however they are chronically understaffed and there are problems stemming from that. The individuals themselves are typically of high calibre. They often don't answer the phone for up to an hour at a time when they get busy which can be quite annoying when there is time-sensitive information to pass along.

My sister Barbara McCallum was there for over a year was treated with respect and dignity. She loved everyone. Enjoy herself wish she would of went there earlier. She lived all alone. I am so grateful to everyone there. Thank you all for being so kind to my sister. Ross and Denise cook point edward

If you are looking to volunteer here please keep in mind that it is a sent free zone and smokers would probably not get in. The residents are allergic to offensive smells. They would love to have musicians come in and cheer the residents up. Their life is depressing. Even staff said so.

I just posted this on my Facebook page and I tried to 'tag' you.... but couldn't find a link.... so here's what I posted.... KOOOOOODOOOOOS!!!!! To the Dearness Home Living for their latest program to bring a smile to the faces of the elderly!!! A little while ago, I was dropping off a client here and I saw this! I was intrigued so I asked her a few questions. She is just one of many summer volunteers who spends a few hours each day, taking Dearness residents for bike rides around the property!!! Staff help to get the residents out of their wheelchairs and into this comfy bike and the volunteers pedal them around!!! I asked the person who just got out of this bike, if she enjoyed it and she said it really made her morning! She's a frequent rider!!! LOL!!!!

My mom did weekends here in the secure area . was beautiful and her room was so nice. Staff were kind. I love how they have the digital bord on the wall and the fake flower gardens . it was so nice . if your loved one has dementia and will need long term care i would be adding them to the list and its a 3 year wait. I have been in a few of londons homes and this one was my fav. Our loved ones deserve the best.
