Dr. Bokenfohr was incredibly helpful and caring. Definitely the best er experience i’ve had, wait times were a bit long but to be expected for a smaller town. All around good experience!

Drove an hour to the er because I’ve been having severe pains in my abdomen and back for weeks (I suspect related to iud) and was very concerned something was wrong. Waited in the er room for 6 hours, the nurses were lovely and helpful but the doctor was horrible. He just told me to take more Advil and Tylenol for the pain after I explained to him multiple times I’ve done that AND not even prescription painkillers were working. He was very condescending and essentially just told me to go home and there’s nothing he can do. He said “menstruation pain” is not an emergency when I made sure I was very clear that it was NOT menstruation pain at all and was going on for nearly a month at the time. Extremly dismissive doctor and I went home with 0 help. If you’re a female who’s having pain in that area and it’s not menstrual I wouldn’t go here, the doctor does not care at all and almost talks down to you. Go to fsj they are significantly better. I don’t typically write reviews but I am very very frustrated at the carelessness especially after I told him it’s severe and not like menstrual related. Once again, lovely nurses but that doctor doesn’t not care to help or even refer to a better facility or offer guidance on what to do.

Very bad service at night especially.. nurses were just kept on taking instead helping my friend .. and when we aksed them that whats is going on and who is going to help us today they said oh sorry we forgot to tell doctor going to be on shift around 5 in morning and then with the bad attitude other nurse said either u can wait or leave.. like what the heck is going on in hospital?? Seems like they were there just for an attendance and gossiping not for helping.. this is not acceptable. And city should do something about it !

Excellent service. Today was my first time at this hospital and I met beautiful people, one after another. From the welcome person at the door, who also provided me with good information, to the person in the blood lab who I think extinguished any longstanding discomfort with getting bloodwork, and then to the Imaging Department! My goodness those people are wonderful. The intake people are amazing, the mammogram person, the two ultrasound techs (I named them the Dream Team, Paige and Taylor) who were lovely, and the very kind doctor who came up to discuss imaging results right away. I know not every experience can be this good; but if all healthcare people were this warm and friendly and kind and compassionate, we would have the best healthcare system ever. It makes a difference. Thank you very much.

I went in with what I thought was a broken thumb, i was ushered in quickly for the x-ray, but then had to wait 6 hours for them to tell me they thought nothing was wrong, never bothering to examine me at all, literally did not touch me to examine my injury. I wasn't alone, I witnessed others wait for longer than me for a 5 second solution, I watched the doctor walk back and forth, enter empty rooms and do nothing. From my personal experience avoid this place.

This place is an absolute joke I came in with a fairly serious problem at 8:00 a.m. not looking for any medication not looking for any pills just looking for a diagnosis of what's going on sat there until 1:00 p.m. so 5 hours then when I went up and asked what place I'm in in the order they told me there's more than 20 people in front of me and could be over 10 hour wait and just for some insight I had already sat there while everybody else that came in around the same time as me went in and numerous other people had come in went in and left I will never ever ever return to this hospital it may as well just close the doors. I feel like I was being discriminated against because I have Alberta health Care but I'm working out in this area apparently they would just let me sit in the waiting room and die.

We recently had a very difficult stay at the hospital where my wife had a C-section, however our little boy was born with known defects and couldn’t sustain life, the entire staff was absolutely wonderful and caring and I believe we couldn’t have had better treatment anywhere else in the world. It may be an old building with fewer amenities but the quality of the people more then made up for it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Brad, Mandi, Zed, and of course Ezra Johnson.

So I went here like 2 weeks ago. Just a day surgery, but I was pretty scared 😱. Nursing in day surgery was super nice. Older fellow had no problems getting iv in on the first stick even though I was pretty dehydrated. They did a lot to make me comfortable. I appreciate it.

I don't write reviews.... I just don't. But I felt compelled to write this one because I have never been so impressed with the kindness, compassion and professionalism that my son and I experienced with the doctors and nurses in the emergency department. Dr. Remi, Kim and Jo (to name a few).... I'm sorry I can't remember all your names who were working in emergency from 1:00am January 22 to discharge on January 24, 2023 but you were all so wonderful and supportive! I stayed by my son's side for his entire stay and the staff were so kind to us, it felt like we were part of their family😌. I will never forget my experience at the Dawson Creek hospital!!!

I was taken to the hospital in Dawson Creek to have my appendix removed because they don't do the procedure in Fort Saint John. Everyone was kind, compassionate and understanding of the intense pain I was going through. The surgery went off without any problems and I was extremely grateful for the treatment I received. The one and only only hiccup I encountered was an uncompassionate and rude attitude from a white, short haircut lady, that when asked when the doctor would be in gave me attitude saying that he'll be here when he gets here. I informed her I was given a time from another staff member, to which she replied that I'd just have to wait. Anyway while writing this review the above mentioned lady came back in a better, more understanding attitude and in case I can't go back and change my star number, it's now a four. I guess she has problems of her own and I'm a little short on in for patience due to the intense pain I've been in for the past 3 days. All in all a great hospital with compassionate and caring staff which far surpasses the staff at Fort Saint John.
