“I have been going to this dental centre for many years. They’re professionally and technically competent. However, I have had a different hygienist and different dentist every time. There’s no consistency. As a result, there’s no real connection or continuity”

“I've had 4 appointments here so far, and I have never been in and out of filling appointments so smoothly. Dr. Maxine How is the most communicative, considerate dentist I have ever had and the hygienists are lovely as well. I do not dread the dentist anymore.”

“Really great dentist - have been going here for years. Dr How my dentist is excellent. No pain and lots of explanation’s as she is working do I have a real sense of confidence in what she is doing to me. Great patient care!”

“I have known Dr. Andy for a very long time. Nobody is more of a perfectionist then he is and after years of issues with other dentists, I have found MY dentist! I have had many bad experiences throughout my life, but ...for the first time in my life.... I am relaxed, calm and confident in his work. On top of being the greatest dentist I have ever experienced, ALL his staff are amazing. Starting with the great receptionists who make you feel at home and the other professionals that work there are great too. Alas, there is one negative....I live in Pickering and the drive to the Danforth is a killer. “I really like this dentist. The reception team is fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and a refreshing change from the usual grunting you get at medical establishments. The hygienist was great, and the dentist was excellent as well: professional, calm, and made everything feel easy. “Danforth Neighbourhood Dental Centre is the perfect place for those of us who don't particularly look forward to going to the dentist. But dare I say it...I actually enjoy going here. Here's why... From the minute you walk in, you're welcomed by three absolutely lovely humans at the counter who are always kind, joyous, and knowledgeable. They'll check you in quick and your wait won't be long as this place is organized!!! They truly know how to stay on schedule. Ok...let's talk about the best part...Carla. She's my hygienist of choice. I will only book appointments with her as there is no better person on the planet to put tools into your mouth and scrape tartar off your teeth. She is warm, friendly, and will tell you exactly what she's about to do before she does it. She uses just the right amount of pressure to get the job done, while still being gentle enough to make it a comfortable experience. She is soooo pleasant to have a conversation with, but is also ok with silence if you're not feeling overly chatty. She will give you clear explanations as to what she observes in your mouth, without making you feel frightened or overwhelmed if there is an area of concern like a potential cavity or gingivitis. She will offer professional guidance without pressure and allow you to have complete control of what steps to take next, or when to book your next appointment.
