“I came to Dr. Pilar with textbook symptoms of Topical Steroid Addiction and Topical Steroid Withdrawal. Not only did he fail to recognize the symptoms over more than a year of bi-weekly appointments, but he prescribed me more and more steroids, going so far as to tell me I could use them on my face, which is downright dangerous for any patient. After nearly ending up in the hospital, I did my own research and realized it was the steroid creams themselves which were making me seriously ill and worsening my condition dramatically. Upon going off the creams, my whole body went into shock, and 9 months later I am still in the depths of Topical Steroid Withdrawal. Google it, it's one of the most excruciating and debilitating medical conditions anyone can go through. Had Dr. Pilar been educated around this condition and not continued to prescribe me medicine which was poisoning me, I could have saved myself years of absolute hell. Integrative? Holistic? I think not. 👎”
